I've owned a few '59 custom shop P's and I can tell you there's a difference mainly in the tone. To me, the '59 is darker and beefier whereas the Pino is more even and midrange. Both are exactly the same quality-wise. The feel are pretty much the same as well, though the '59 might have a slimmer neck profile.

Here is my Pino Prototype #1 I just picked up signed by the man himself when they first built these. They made 2, he took one and now I have the other. I cannot believe I'm even typing this, it's a wild dream come true.

That's what I recall from the early ones. I'd be tempted to buy another one if I could find one with the lighter relic.

Forgive me if I posted this before. Can't remember. Here's my Pino. Finished in Oly white. Made for Justin Meldal Johnsen. I've owned several Pinos and this one has a slightly thinner neck than the others if I recall correctly.

D Bopp, I almost bought that when it was on Reverb (last year I think?). So killer. I love the super dark fretboard. And the similar wear patterns to the Pino model. And of course Justin is a monster player. Congrats on the sweet bass man!

That’s beautiful... I’m a huge fan of burst with the gold PG. Such a sweet look. One day, I’d like to try a Pino to see how it differs from others, but I do like the look.

I'm literally drooling at the mouth, haha. I can't get any where to try one out so I figured I would come here to see if anyone has played one / checked one out yet?

I played a post-modern that was from 2018. It had a very modern tone and was well made. I like the more vintage tone, so I passed on it, but it was a nice bass. I am sure someone will be along with even more experience with that series.

I have a Post Modern bass from 2018 and I wouldn't describe the tone as modern. YMMV The earlier models came with the '62 pickup, then IIRC in 2018 they switched to the '63 pickup. The spec for the 2019 lists the pickup as a hand wound '57 split coil and they now have maple boards.

I own a 2017 Custom Shop Artisan Flame Maple Postmodern P-Bass. @sneha1965 is correct in that mine has a Custom Shop Hand-Wound '62 Precision Bass pickup. One correction. On the 2018 model of the same bass it's still a '62 P/U. On the 2019 Postmodern Journeyman it's a '57 P-Bass P/U. To the naked ear, yes there was a difference when played clean/flat fingered style... but when I started running it through the effects on the Fender Rumble Stage 800, I could not hear a difference, especially when I looped in the backing track. So probably depends on how you play if you appreciate the "sound" differences between the two. Visually, yes, they are night and day.
