I had the same blue one, and the orange one, ended up selling them both, loved the way they looked and sounded, but the neck was so darned fat i just couldn't....lol

2019 Fender Custom Shop Club Housekeeping
Hello fellow Custom Shop Lovers! Been a while since member numbers were handed out, so I thought I'd post what we have to make sure no one who wants a number has been overlooked. The original list was started by: @Fletz March 28, 2012 (Post #332), then @dmn808 took over July 2, 2014 (Post #190), then myself (TB24), January 24, 2018.
This is what I currently have for members (there are gaps at the end as some have favorite numbers (like myself - 124). Please check for accuracy (meaning I have you on the list and your number is correct). If you are not on the list, and have posted pictures, let me know and I will assign you a number.
REMINDER OF THE RULES TO GET A NUMBER
· The bass must be a Fender Custom Shop Bass
· You must post pictures of your Custom Shop Bass
· One of the photos must show the Custom Shop logo on the bass

Just messaging something about my own bass (pic above) that has drove me crazy - its got relicing and a worn in vibe - yet the gold anodized pickguard looks like it came off the shelf brand new - i have a tort guard replacement for it - which i will relic myself...then probably relic the anodized one at work. Weird why this was done this way - anyone else have similar?
So - pickguard changed - looks brighter in the pic than in real-life. But nice mint green edge too it. Diggin it.
What a beautiful bass. Vintage blonde is one of my favorite colors and he relicing just puts over the top.

I posted the Jazz Bass a few posts ago and the color was listed as super faded daphne blue. I knew it was lighter, but didn’t fully realize it until today when I hung it side by side with another daphne blue bass. I really dig it and even more so now.
My 64 AVRI jazz and 64 CS P bass. Both are Daphne blue. The P bass is a darker shade.
IMO, the JMJ mustang isnt what I consider daphne blue, but who knows...

I did something sacrilegious couple of days ago... I put roundwounds on my CS Pino! Happy to tell you guys, that bass rocks with rounds too!
brave man. Aside from brightness, how did the tone change? I’m still in the honeymoon phase with mine using the TI flats but plan on trying rounds in the future.
Well, I bought my Pino used and it had some Dunlop flats. I didnt like those and changed them to LaBella low tension flats witch I like. I think the TI's are a little bit brighter. After putting Daddario XL nickels on the bass I think its brighter and more "open" sounding. It's a P-bass for sure so nothing special happened! Great P-sound going on. This bass is a little bit more "aggressive" than my previous japanese P
I will try DR sunbeams because I like them the most. I have them on my CS jazz and its great. I had to put Daddarios first because I had one set laying around
