The other day I wrapped some solder around 3 of my Fullerton necks just to see if I can notice the difference in profile shapes. I did it at the 3rd, 5th & 7th frets on each one. The top photo is the 3rd fret in each one. I can clearly see the difference in the 3 profiles from the solder. The first one is the soft V from my main player a 1983 '57 then the second is a chunky C from a '57 (which I just sold) and last one is from a '62 neck which has a thin C. The difference in the Soft V and C isn't extreme but its there...its more of a thing that's felt in the hand. The V carves on these are not as pronounced as on the real '57s I have experienced...these are a very mellow soft V while the real '57s I played were a harder more pronounced V but Both amazing necks. Thats one of my favorite things about the fullertons is the necks...no matter what profile, they are amazing.
