Fender Lame-o American design experience Fail

It was not Leo, but Gene at Fender who worked on it.

Wow! Some looker huh? Like that German(?) carved top - or whatever it is they call that. Looks like it's got a "hippie sandwich" body too. I'm not surprised it didn't make it out of beta. It's a really radical departure from the normal Fender look and design.

Of course, none of this takes into account what this does to the production lines at Fender, which none of us know anything about. Everything is easy when you don't have to take into account any of the details...
What I do know is they allow themselves 90 days to complete a Design Experience order. That allows them to paint and assemble whenever it's convenient for them, so it should have no negative impact at all on their production lines.
