thats awesome, I always wanted to blind a congregation. it would be cool it someone in the crowd had a spotlight and flashed it at me.

Man.... Midnight wine looks really nice on the jazz bass. Too bad... I can only afford a SX.

Elliot, Nothing wrong with getting an SX, but look at the used market and you can usually find a MIM Jazz for about the same price.

a 96' jazz... my first bass ever... still one of my fav's. It has a fender USA pickguard (I am thinking of going white pearl), Fender custom shop 60's reissue pickups, Black Tele knobs, and the pickup covers. Sounds and plays great.

Did this come stock with the tort pickguard? I have a MIM Jazz Standard. If it's aftermarket, where did you get the guard? it looks amazing.

no the bass is completely stock. it is a deluxe active. tort comes standard on them. i beleive musiciansfriend.com probably has tort guard for jazz basses. i beleive black with tort is the best looking combo.

i use fender 7250 nickel rounds BTW.
