From the looks of it, single & double humbucker versions, 4 or 5 strings, and according to the guy who's there, Fender are making Modern Player, MIM and MIA models.

Looks like they have faith in these basses being successful..

From what he's said, it looks like the Modern Player models are just the triplebucker ones already available, the MIMs will be around £700, and the MIA around £1300. If that's MRSP I may be interested, if that's street price it seems quite pricey. But until the specs are released, who knows.

I really like the look of those alternate dimensions (see what i did there?) but what I want to know is what type of pickups they're using. It's obviously not the current triple coil but a more conventional humbucker. But is it just a double jazz pickup or is it something new? It's hard to tell from those pictures

The 2 pick up models look like they have a selector switch and the 1 pick up model doesn't. Makes me think these don't have the same pick up combinations as the MP Dimension

Definitely not. I am curious about the knobs, though. I'm assuming it'll be a 3 band EQ, or maybe a 2 band with a coil tap function, like the MP Jazz has.

Either way, I'm not sure I'd buy one over a MusicMan, but I am very interested to see the specs.
