I don’t know. Since sending the pickguard takes the bass out of commission, that’s a pretty important criteria. Chandler (pickguard planet) shows every Fender model except the JMJ, and pickguardian does not list all of the templates he has online. You would need to contact Tony to find out. He advertises 2-3 week turnaround for custom guards. That’s about what I recall waiting, and every one I ordered was custom.
I replaced my JMJ guard and still have the original laying around.

If you're patient you can still find one for ~$1000. I paid $1000 shipped for mine.
I consider myself lucky that I feel that way about the Squier Mustang - has everything I like and nothing I don’t.
I had a MIJ Mustang, but didn't care for the 7.25 radius. The Squier has the 9.5 that feels right for me.
I also didn't like the traditional truss rod adjustment of the MIJ. The Squier has it open, up top for quick adjustments.
Those are the 2 main reasons I like the Squier better (also that it's less expensive).
The Squier VM Mustang also has a maple neck which I prefer, but I can live with the current CV one.
I can see why someone would prefer the MIJ though, if that's what calls to you.
Nope! No fitting required. Just a straight bolt in. Intonation, set up, spacing, just like it was born there. It's a great bass!

I would like to install an old pickup to get the real sound and vintage correct look, please...

Really loving my mustangs. You can see here how the body shape of the Squier is quite different to an original 66. I think the JMJ is the same; more rounded behind the bridge.

I think it changed a few times over the years. If you look at a ‘66 online you’ll notice there’s not much behind the bridge. The angle of this photo exaggerates it somewhat
Fender reworked the shape with the '90s CIJ Mustangs and have used the same outline on everything since. My pet theory is that it was done to throw the balance a bit further towards the body. I reckon this is why they have never contoured the bodies on any reissues either.
Either that or they didn't have an original Mustang bass to take measurements from. Odd that JMJ never pushed for this when his sig is meant to be a replica of his '60s bass.
The 66 balances much better than the squier but it might be because the body of the squier is so light. Overall I think they weigh about the same.

Has anyone put a traditional mustang pickup in their Fender PJ? I find the pickups that came with it to be pretty lacking (The P is boomy, scooped, and the J feels weak,flat), And am looking to swap them out. Originally was thinking just swap the p and j, but now I'm thinking about putting a traditional Mustang pu in there
I went the other direction and put Dimarzio Model P and J pickups in my old PJ Mustang. It was a good gigging bass but a bit brash for home rehearsal or recording.
