Fender Mustang Club

Your welcome. Am I reading your avatar correctly? You are in Copenhagen? If so welcome! My grandfather was born and raised in Odense. If I misread it I apologise. My Danske is pretty rusty.
Bob
Indeed I am. Well, just outside Copenhagen, actually. Small world - I grew up about 40 kms from Odense. Det er da imponerende, hvis du kender bare noget dansk!

In case anyone’s looking... Reverb currently has a few interesting Mustangs listed. A Squier Mikey Way, a couple Fender Pawnshops, a couple vintage 70’s case queens, (and some vintage Musicmasters). Not affiliated w/any sellers; just passing along the info. :)

Check out some of the videos online for the Gator ProGo...it’s called a gigbag, but really, if you look at it, it provides as much protection as a hard shell case almost....and it fits the Mustang

I wish there was something really protective in a gig bag but not as "luxury" and big as the ProGo. I actually possess a ProGo (or my son does, for his Gretsch Streamliner) and it's great for a semi-hollow body guitar, but I want something a little more trim for my JMJ, kind of like the Gator Transit series, which unfortunately seems too small. Has anyone come up with any other gig bags that work well?

What do you think about this one?

SKB SCFB4, Universal Shaped Electric Bass Soft Case - Black

It's nice, but it's about 4" longer than a mustang?

Edit: I already have a great gig bag for my P basses which I could always use for my Mustang, but I am looking for something small, specifically for my Mustang.

Sorry, didn't note the length. Also it's not much thinner than the Gator G-PG which would be my choice because of the protection and storage options. I am using a Fender gig bag and being very careful. Like you, I don't see a lot of choices out there.

Played my Mustang PJs last week with the band at our 1st rehearsal. Got compliments on the tone! :)

Getting super excited for the CME Black & maple... the listing has changed estimated ship date of 11/20 to 11/23. Thinking I will try groundwounds on it, since I already have one with flats, and one with rounds. Does anyone have experience with short scale groundwounds on a Mustang PJ?

I wouldn't think even of putting hamburger meat on my strings! Sorry, couldn't help it :bag:.
