IMHO I did not care for the Dunlops and please let me carify first. My PJ is modified heavily. Now it could be because I have Seymour quarter pounds or it might be because of the Hipdhot Kickas# Highmass bridge or any multitude of things, but I found the Dunlops a bit too deep almost but not quite muddy for my personal taste. Also I have only used the short scale not the medium. I find that the DA flats I use today have just the right amount of bright for the type of music I prefer. I got discouraged enough during my string game period I almost changed to 500k ohm pots. SD talked me out of that.

Thats why there are many different options out there. Different people have different needs! I am a full time player doing sessions, production shows, touring, club dates etc, and for me these strings have the versatility I need. Medium scale fits better IMO on these basses. The tension will be a TOUCH lower with them as well than the SS set.
