Fender pre-CBS Club: pics mandatory!

Here's mine. Bought it a few weeks ago in Amsterdam. Former owner is Detlef Schmidt the writer of the well known book.
It's a pre-1970 refin, pickup and elecronics are non-original. Detlef sent me the original saddles which are being restored and put into use. Neck is a pretty narrow but firm C shape, best neck I ever played! Soundwise...incressible!

I was just looking through Detlef’s book and making comparisons to my bass. I really love these old girls.

OK, just looked it up, it's 1965 for $13 million. Holy cow that's a lot of jack! IDK, I thought it was more like 1975. Never really cared actually.

Yup. Jan 3rd 1965 Leo Fender was out the door.

But as for the Telecaster bass; the single coil versions were made 68-71, and during 71 changed to the mudbucker version.
