Just received my LeCover yesterday for my 500 combo. I got the 1/8" padding for it which cost a little more but man what a nice cover.. Just need to wait til LeCover comes out with the cover for the 1-15" cab...here it is

I am thinking about getting a Rumble 200 as my main bar gig rig. I am looking for light and great sounding. I love the tone, but is it enough for bar gigs? I've played all the big names, and never turn it above 3 - after lugging in heavy stuff. I want an easy bass playing life and this seems a good fit. Those of you who own them, what are your thoughts?
Well I thought the same thing but after some thought I decided to go for the 500 just in case, and for not that much more than the 200!
( that I'm still waiting for )!!!

I agree if your going to do any gigging out then definitely the 500 over the 200. Honestly not sure they made the 200 they should have just made 2 500 versions with a 15 or 2 10's with the same wattages. ...

Fender has very adroitly priced it's Rumble combos in astute $100 increments. Starting with the $100 Rumble 25 all the way to the $500 Rumble 500. It's interesting that the Rumble 100 is $3/watt; the Rumble 200 is $2/watt, and the Rumble 500 is $1/watt.
Excellent point. Pricing ladders normally follow a formula of decreasing returns as you move up the range. A Mexi P-bass is better than a Vintage Modified Squier. But is it twice as good? Ditto as you go up to the Am Std and Custom Shop models.

To get a useful improvement when upgrading your rig, you want about a 6dB increase, and you don't get there by bumping your amp or speaker performance by 25 to 50 percent. Doubling your amplifier power only takes you up 3dB, and it's roughly the same deal with speakers.

The top three V3 combo's line up pretty nicely that way. Each has roughly double the power, as well as a logical step up in cab performance.

For only $100 per step, that's a pretty awesome deal.
