Fender Rumble Club

Thanks, Linnin. I've heard good things about them, as well (just not the no tax part).

Nutdog, what is the deal with this email? I've seen it referenced, but never explained. Do you email them for a quote instead of just ordering from the site for a discount? Is it a members only thing? I don't even...

Email and ask for a quote on what you want. They'll come back with a limited time price and link/code so you can order by phone or online. Open to anyone. I saw it in the hot deals forum and have only tried it the one time. It was over labor day weekend and the discount was better than the labor day deal. I've called them before and gotten 15% just by asking but this was a little better.

As a side note, one time I ordered an amp/cab and had to return it because the amp was defective. Somehow in the return process the invoice online started showing their cost, not my price. They have a good bit of wiggle room to offer a decent discount. It's amazing how little the big box retailer pays for for Asian made gear.

Nutdog - thanks for the info. I usually call MF and see what kind of discount I can get. I will have to try the email next time. Maybe on a Rumble 115 cabinet to go with my 500 combo.

I visited Sweetwater about a month ago. The facility is amazing! I was a little surprised however, that they only had about a dozen basses on display. I wanted to try a Schecter bass and they didn't have any to try. The Guitar Center 4 miles away from Sweetwater actually had more basses on display.

I have had my 500 combo for a week now and I keep thinking about adding the 15" cabinet to it even though I don't need the extra power. Is it worth adding just for sound qualities alone?

Imho nut dog if you are not happy with the overall sound and you want a fuller ballsy bottom then definitely go with the 15 i can imagine it will make your rig more bad ass sounding then it is. I actually am thinking of trading my 200 in for the 500 combo as members here are saying i will gain between 3 and 5dB of volume. . I just hope i dont lose the bottom end sound?

You're not going to lose any bottom end at all, in fact you are going to gain some due to the coupling effect of the twin woofs.

How are you running your existing Rumble 200 combo? Tilted back facing the band? On a amp stand tilted back? Up on a table? Or flat on the floor facing the audience blowing all the sound right by your shins?

Flat on floor. Just going by the comparison of the tv15 which has more volume and wattage and bottom then the 200.. was hoping the 500 would be as comparable at least to the tv15. .
You really need to get that up off the floor and on top of a sturdy table so that the top of the combo is about chest high. Since all you need is a stage monitor, try it as a side fill on your side of the stage and point it across to the other side 'sweeping' the stage with bass. I bet they'll be screaming at you to "Turn It Down!" Try it at rehersal, and see. You're going to have to do that with the 500 too. You can't just have that sitting flat on the floor and expect good stage volume. You at least have to tilt it back and angled towards the band.
