And I'm picturing people reading these suggestions and damaging their Rumbles thinking it's easy.

FedEx may have a problem shipping these Rumbles. My "first" one was shipped by them but I was going to be out of town when it arrived. I called FedEx and asked them to hold it at a local FedEx office for pickup. When it arrived, I received a call from the local office saying the box was seriously damaged and recommended that I/they refuse delivery. I called MF and they handled everything, even sending a replacement before they had received the original one back!

Please take this as intended, but did you buy your Rumble 500c factory refurbished? Mind you, I got mine in 2014 I think it was, and the factory shipping box had the Rumble logo all over it, and it was clearly marked Fender Rumble 500 all over the outside of the box. The foam blocking looks a bit different too.
Not saying it is, just wondering if they are doing refurbs, or if maybe they changed the shipping box and packing foam to save $$....
Well, if this sort of thing is beyond a person's knowledge and abilities, then they definitely shouldn't attempt it... I've repaired a few amps in my time, and have been inside a Rumble combo - and know *I* can handle such a task, but that doesn't mean everyone can do it.... The last thing in the world I want to do is talk someone into damaging their gear...
My wife and I bought one of her close friends, who has decided to take up the bass (her husband is a rather accomplished guitarist), a Rumble 40 for her b-day, as she was lacking an amp. Sharing the Rumble Love!

Are the 10" speakers in the 410 different than those in the 210? 2ohm vs 4ohm? I'd like to add a 210 to my 500 combo but also have an eye on the Bassman 800 head for the future. I was curious as to whether I could just buy the 410 now and disconnect 2 speakers to couple with the combo, and then be able to reconnect and use as a 410 in the future when I have a separate head. It's only a $50 spread from the 210 to 410.
I'm certainly no expert, but from my prior experience with amps over many years it sounds like a de-laminated voice coil. I'll wait for someone else to chime in, though.
It was purchased new from Sweetwater and they told me that it would ship in a Fender box. It was backordered when I ordered it so unless Fender sent them a refurb, it’s a new one. I haven’t seen any sign that it was a refurb: it looks brand new. My guess is that they have changed their packaging in the four years since you purchased yours? Or Sweetwater changed the packaging when they received it? They definitely opened it to put in the invoice and candy in the box.
I think it's just a cost saving measure. Rather than have separate shipping boxes for each model, it makes sense to have a multi-use, generic box labeled "Fender". Different foam blocks could account for minor differences in sizing IMHO.
Edit: especially since the introduction of the Studio and Stage models with similar measurements to prior models.
If anyone is curious:
The head is easy to open. The pot is soldered in. Sprayed at the top but It's really hard to know if anything really got in there. I think it just drizzled to nowhere but it wasn't difficult. I'm not bothering to get the face detached or remove the pot. It's so easy to just crank the pot.
FYI: The gain and volume pots are the same part. If you ever need a part number, just call Fender and they pull up the drawing and give you the #.

Everything seems to be a go. I’ll rehearse with it Tuesday but I’m really liking what I’m hearing.
Joined the club today! Rumble 500 combo. Picked it up in Oregon, so no tax. Plus they gave me 10% veteran discount, got it for $540, instead of the $660 it would have cost me in Tacoma.

This is my first bass amp, a Fender Rumble 100v3.
It is mostly for use at home. With the master volume at 1 o'clock, it is loud enough for me. Still checking out the presets. Hard to settle for 1 setting, they all sound pretty good for different things. The OD is not too bad, though I can see myself trying some other OD pedals in the future.
Lots of features for its price, lightweight, nice sound. I think this series is a winner.

What you don't see is a lonely and covered GK, along with a Stingray, in the corner....only Fender...at least for now

Fwiw, I think Stingray and Bongo both sound great through Rumbles...there is a bump in low mid heft or something that (all of this imho/ime) that compliments the single MM tone.Its in...finally got a second 210 after a year or so of contemplation.

Looking forward to trying my Jack Casady through one this summer...
