Yes it was an excellent purchase. I had to vacuum the carpet and removed the stickers. It looks new. And surprisingly it sounds really good, for $100 it is an excellent practice/gigging amp.

Heck yes it is! $100 is like being paid to take it. Even if it eventually lives at a practice space, it pays for itself almost immediately (imho)
Rather see that at a quick set-up/shared venue bar gig as backline than a lot of 'fancier' gear
That’s what I was thinking...with everything flat except a slight bass boost to around 2 o’clock and with the scoop button pressed it sounds almost identical to my current GK MBFusion Rig bass boosted to 2 o’clock and everything else flat. However the rumble sounds so much better without the scoop button pressed. I didn't realize how scooped the MB Fusion was...
The Rumble is only 100 watts however it seems to output more volume than my Fusion which is 500 watts and a 2x10 cab with the volume levels at the same setting. Probably due to the natural scooped tone of the Fusion I assume.
We play a lot of small spaces so I have amps from 25 to 200+ watts. Last night was using the R200c and the '67 TBird(could've gotten away w/ the R40 but it would've been pushing it).Had the gain and master at 9 and was almost too loud. Love it!

Question for the Studio 40 owners - the Post send is fully affected by internal effects, correct? Just thinking if I ever wanted to gig with the amp, I could run it to my Peavey IPR2000 then into a bigger cab(s) and get all the goodness.

I've always been a fan of Fender amps but experimented w/ other brands over the years,esp. Peavey-who managed to piss me off by moving most of their manufacturing overseas AFTER the"Undercover Boss"episode showing their US based production. Often couldn't justify the cost of some of Fender's amps. The Rumble line has put me back in Fender's camp w/ the power to weight ratio in particular. Now, if they'd just make a R212 cab.............

Yeah, for what I do,the R200c is enough but on those rare occasions I get to crank, I'd love to have a 212 cab. And it would get the 200c offa the floor.
There are other 212 cabs I could buy but they're all (1) too heavy,(2) too expensive, or(c) wrong resistance,i.e.,4 ohms[I never could index]
So for fun, I just ran the 500c line out to my Peavey IPR2000, then out to my Ampeg 212av and a PF115he on separate channels. Huge sounding, and loud (very tolerant wife yelled to “turn it down”). A wall of bass tone, and the 500 sounded great.
Figured why not go for it, and added a PF210he cab external under the 500c to run it at the full 500watts. Wow, just wow.

The 212av and Peavey/Fender TBP-1 rig gets gigged most often, then the Ampeg cabs with an Ampeg P50-t or PF800 second.
Since it’s the newest, I think I’m going to try the 500c/PF210he at the next gig to see how it sounds in the mix.
The extra cab is more for headroom than volume.
Very cool sound. How'd you do that? I don't know that what I'm hearing is actually the amp. It almost sounds like fret buzz to me. I have never heard any amp make that sound. That doesn't mean you don't have a problem, it just means I'm not hearing it as an amp issue.
What happens if you turn the gain down or reduce distortion?
After listening to the video, the first thing I'd do is pull the grill and watch the speaker. I don't usually use the drive on either the R200c or the R40 'cause of what we play. I futzed around w/ them but it really doesn't fit w/ classic rock/light jazz. BTW, now that I have 2 Rumbles, can I get a #-or did I get one and missed it?

Hey Guys, ran into a problem with my Rumble 500 this past weekend..During sound check I had a buzz coming through the PA, this has happened before and ended up being a bad cable, btw I run the DI out of the back of the amp, changed cables problem gone. So I had the same problem changed out the cable and the buzz was still there. Now I'm thinking the problem is with my amp, warranty has ran out..First has this happened to anyone else and if so how did you correct the problem ? Second if I can't fix the problem with the amp I'm thinking about going to a DI box.
I don't know a lot about DI boxes, can someone recommend a DI box, what I would like is to send the sound of my amp to the PA and not ran just the bass itself to the board for the reason I would like the sound of the PA to reproduce as close as possible to the sound of My Rumble..I use a G&L L-2000 in the passive mode...Thanks Guys

Are you getting buzzing only or sound with buzzing in it?
Does it sound like 60 Hz buzz?
Did you try changing channels on the PA?
Also, test the cable by using a mic with it to see if you still get the buzz.
