There is one in particular that went into a recording studio, and the engineer mic'd the cab and ran the XLR out to the board. He was going to mix the two. He was so pleased with the quality of the XLR signal that he chose to use that for the entire recording. His account is right here within the many pages of the Fender Rumble Club.

True. And the advantage of a combo over a separate head and cab is less weight, one less item to schlep, and no speaker cable required. You pays your money and you makes your choice.No. The real advantage of separate amps and cabs, over combos, is flexibility. Like you can buy a new cab and use it with the same amp, or the other way around.
