See that's just the thing. You could most likely get that very same deal brand new if you call and ask you favorite e-tailer.Rumble 500 head for sale, $350 shipped (not mine)

Oh no, not by any means. The Fender Rumble 350 2x10 Combo is a totally bitchen-assed combo by any standard.Yeah, definitely not a steal, but hey, that is the "asking" price, can't blame the guy for trying to get most of his money back after a couple months.
Super-Groovy Baby!
I'd run it just the opposite. Master 2/3rds to 3/4 up and then add gain to taste. Enjoy! My V3 200 arrived today and I am pleased. Only got to play a little in bedroom in our small frame house. Wife said walls were rattling! Had gain full up,master about a quarter up. Tried all settings but chose contour engaged, bass knob at a quarter up,low and high mid and treble all at noon. plenty loud and clean sound with horn off. Used mid 80s Japan Fender P with rounds and fingerstyle. Also hooked up my 12 inch GK 8ohm speaker without changing anything and was noticeably louder to me { and my wife } ! Ive used a GK mb 200 head with various speaker cabs for last few years and it just now started giving me problems with both its mic and quarter inch line out,so the Rumble is here just in time! Playing this Saturday in a club at Malone ,Texas so Ill get to run her thru the paces then and cant wait!
Thanks,Linnin ! Il try that. I was jus turning knobs and listening and got alotta different tones and none were bad ,but i liked some better than others. i tried my inexpensive Rogue bass with flats and man it came alive ! Feel like a kid in a toy store! Thank you and all the others here for your comments. I wouldnt have got this without reading your posts. Bought this with work bonus and its money well spent. Thanks so much!I'd run it just the opposite. Master 2/3rds to 3/4 up and then add gain to taste. Enjoy!

There is no way to tell for sure. The Orange 115's are Eminence ceramic magnet drivers rated at 400 watts. They're also $650 a piece!!Figuring this is a best place to ask. How would the older 410 cab compare to a pair of orange 115 cabs in terms of sensitivity? Got only 50w on tap.![]()

Welcome To The Fender Rumble Club, Nightwing!I've just purchased a new Rumble 200 head and am loving it to bits! Prior to this I was using a GK MB200, I don't play large gigs so the 200 has plenty of grunt for my needs. I love the GK but felt it wasn't giving me the tone I want for Jazz standards and blues. I initially picked up a Rumble 100 combo, mostly because of how light and portable it is, but returned it within 4 days, nothing wrong with it, but felt the 12" speaker wasn't measuring up to my expectations, swapped it for the 200 head and am ecstatic with the results. Combining the Rumble with my GK NEo 2x12. Love the variety of tones I can get out of this thing!

Perhaps you have the Gain up?...I find the overdrive circuit unuseable as it seems to be instant fuzz and nothing else, even at it's lowest settings. Can't dial in a harsh slightly overdriven sound. Just fuzzy distortion and more fuzzy distortion.
That solved it. Thanks!Perhaps you have the Gain up?
The gain knob is not a normal front-end gain trim, like you're probably used to on most amps. With it all the way down, you will still have lots of volume. I treat it like a built-in boost pedal. As you turn it up, so the tone gets fatter, a little compressed, and adds a bit of "hair" on the note.
The OD, on the other hand, is pretty hot. If you're looking for on-the-edge-of-breakup sounds, you may only need the Drive knob at around 8-9 o'clock, with the Level knob cranked pretty high to balance the output level.
High Gain levels combined with a medium amount of overdrive puts my basses well into fuzz bass territory, which is not my cup of tea. That's with a passive P bass and a passive Dingwall. If you run active basses and a lot of onboard EQ, you'll have to be careful about input levels.
The other thing to be mindful of, is that it this price point you don't get a separate set of tone controls for the overdrive circuit, so if you dial up a grindy distortion tone with the OD, you may need to reach over and adjust the 4-band EQ when you kick the OD off.
