Fender Rumble Club

Yes. No probs, as long as both cabs are 8 ohm

Thanks! So there isn't any chance of damage since the cabs only have one speakon and one 1/4in, like they aren't both "input only" or something weird like that? Also there is no risk having a speakon from the amp but a 1/4 connecting the speakers?

And yes, amp can take 4ohms, both Rumble 2x10s are 8ohms.

I'd double check the owners manual on if they are input only. They shouldnt be, but I'd double check to make sure if it was me.

The key term is "parallel inputs" for daisy chaining cabs. And, yes, the Rumble 210 are parallel inputs.

As per the current bass cab users manual:

Problem: just bought a Rumble v3 200 with a missing horn.

Does anyone know what type of replacement horn to get? measurements, wattage, part number, anything? May never use it, but want the option.

I did search, but Google was not my friend today, and I got tired of wading through posts here.

Thanks for any help!

Just FYI, found a 200 and a 500 in the same pawn shop - got the 200 for $150 (missing horn and handle) and the 500 is on layaway for $400 (like new, sounds great). Plan on possibly converting the 200 to an external cab (modify to bypass the amp) to use with the 500 and stack 'em for larger stages. I know, would over-power the 200 "cab", my choice. Or just chain 'em. Maybe hit 'em with a x-over and "bi-amp" them, effects through high end.

Anyways, I'm finally moving to the lighter stuff. I haven't used either yet (gotta pay off the 500) but my back is already happier. I'm tired of all my gear being powered by lead. Now to drill a multitude of holes in all my basses ;)

I don't know what horn is used, I just wanted to say keep us posted on your progress and the choice you made! I like the idea of finding a 200C with some issues and turning it into a size matched 115 for the 500C and have thought about doing the same.

Here's a link to part of a recent discussion about repairing/replacing a horn. Read before and after this linked post to get the whole story.

You won't be the first to do this. Here in the Rumble Club it's called "The eric_B Mod."
See the Modifications section of the Rumble Club Wiki Page for other interesting ideas.

I know, would over-power the 200 "cab", my choice.

Or maybe NOT overpower the 200 cab! According to this Rumble Club exclusive insider's report, AKA "Rumble Talk" on woofers, the 15" driver in the 200 combo is the same as in the 115 cab, which is rated at 300 watts continuous, 600 watts program. Or, at least that was the case 4 years ago, shortly after they came out. But, I've not heard any different snce then. So, you might be good to go cranking the 500 with this as an extension!

Or just chain 'em.

You guessed it. Of course, that's been discussed here, too. Check out this section of the Rumble Club Wiki Page about connecting combos together.

Rumble On!

I did my first gig with the Rumble 500 Combo on the weekend. Maybe 200 people in a 400 capacity room. I DI'd to FOH but had no bass through the foldback except for the drum monitor. I could easily hear myself and at times dominated the sound even with up to 3 guitars, keyboards, multiple singers and a drummer. So to sum up, I was really impressed. I had the volume on probably 11o'clock and gain about the same. Slight nudges on Treble and High Mids, Bass flat and Low Mids slightly cut. Contour on.

Yesterday I picked up the 2x10 cab to go with it. Only plugged it in at home but the tone difference is very noticeable. The lower end is increased but tightened up and the dispersion is great.

Not saying it will have me replacing my Orange AD200 and 8x10 just yet but it is sure nice to have a rig I can carry in to a gig in one trip.

You might not be willing to ditch your Orange kit just yet, but you might want to get dust covers for it!

Just sayin'!

Waiting for the next BBL and AFL seasons to start! Can't get enough here in the States!

View attachment 3226851 Here’s my new and first home built bass. Body and neck custom made for me by Warmoth. NP4a Nordstrand pickup. Turned out better than I expected and sounds awesome, of course through my Rumble 500! Had it Plek’d last week and plays like butter! Even Kenny approves!

Jeez that is some beautiful flame...but you killed my soul by putting that pickguard on there! ;)
Nonetheless, Congrats on an awesome bass!

Some time ago I was complaining about sticky knobs and asking if anyone else had them. Here's a vid i took of them before i tossed them.:

And here's a pic of how it turned out after knob replacement. I like!

I really like the red for the drive section, that's a neat idea that I might just copy.:)

I've gotta AD200B also, love it!
My Rumble 500C is mostly just for tight stages and rehearsals etc...
I wouldn't be ditching my AD200B either!
Ftr, it sounds astonishing through the Fender Bassman Pro Neo 115s

What I have been doing is sending the V3 to the front of the house. Never had the opportunity to send both yet. even though I have thought about it.

The v3 I mostly EQ everything at 12:00. A few times I have had to roll back the bass to 9.

Thanks!! I like that Idea. My guess is we will have a backline. Also, my guess is if they do not have backline for us I may not get much choice in what I want to to do. We get an hour and my guess is it will be quick on and quick off. I will keep you posted.

Totally cool, Jeremy! Do you ever send anything to FOH? If so, which one, the Studio, or other? Oo, oo! Or do you ever send both, if different at all? :wideyed:

For that matter, do you ever use the 40 to EQ the Studio input any differently? If so, why? Or, why not?

Congrats on the CB opening gig! Yeah, they'll probably have a backline for you. But, if not, (big IF), you might consider splitting your signal to each amp to offer them a modeling line from the Studio AND a non-modeled signal from the 40! Sort of a 'wet & dry'. I'd imagine their pro soundmen might could make you a real killer mix that way. I dunno. Just a thought.

G-Dog, thanks for the info! Exactly what I was looking for.

Checked the 200 out last night on my flat-wound fretless active jazz, and it sounded very nice in my bedroom. My wife didn't care for it, but then again I was also seeing how loud it would go. She was in the other room. I am surprised at the clean punchy volume it produces, even with the unplanned "port" where the horn should go. I saw mention of it, but it did have a little power compression at upper levels on the attack, although it was not unpleasant.

Attaching some images of it fresh from the pawn shop. You can see the missing handle and horn. I think I miss the handle more :) I can hardly wait to get the 500 off layaway!

Just a thought: if yer gonna put a handle on it, maybe on the side would make it easier to carry? I mention that b/c I'm 'vertically challenged'.

Great idea GP! I was going to mount a handle on the side of my C200 but mainly to make the lift to the top of the 1-15 cab easier (the C200 on it's side matches the width of the 1-15 cab). Now that you mention it, a side handle would definitely help those of us who are "height-challenged"...a win-win;). Oh, and I haven't got around to replacing and moving the C200 logo to match that on the 1-15 cab. Still looks like this:

Dang, just ordered a replacement handle. Oh well, I may just put the standard handle on the top and a couple new ones on the side. I do like that idea.

I also like the different colored knobs. I think white on gain and master, red on drive/level, and blue on EQ.

Hmm, the two new handles may add 1 or 2 lbs to the total weight. Now I'll have to use three fingers to pick it up. I might as well just go back to my Ampeg SVT and fridge...

A standard handle (black strap with chrome ends) would be fine on the top and/or side. You only need one as it could still be a one-handed pickup. If by "a couple new ones on the side", you meant the recessed ones that come with the 1-15 cab, I don't think you want to do that. That's a lot of cab cutting and added weight.

The knob colors would be very "patriotic" ;). But, then again, so is your hat :).
