Fender Rumble Club

You're most welcome fetch and christle! Many thanks to BumbleB for starting the Fender Rumble Club about 10 months ago. We're closing in on 90 members and I am hopeful for 100 by our first anniversary on March 25th.

More and more bassmen and basswomen are coming forward with positive real life experiences with Fender Bass Amplification. It is a beautiful thing. :)

Rumble On!

:hyper::bassist::hyper:

New 4x10 speaker cabinets looks pretty good, but they're 8 ohms!!!

That's right. If you want one of the 4 ohm 410 cabs better order right away. A shipment of 500 came in last month and wasn't enough to meet demand. It is unknown to me if another shipment of the 4 ohm 410 cabs is forthcoming. The old price was $299. New price for 8 ohm 410 is $399. Call around and see what you can find. I haven't checked ebay.

Wife bought me a Rumble 150 to go with me new Fender American Standard Jazz Bass. So far so good!! I will say I miss my old Super Bassman though. Ah, those were the days!! 2-15" JBL's
May I have a number as well?? Thanks!

Saw mention on here about Amp settings, so here goes

150w Combo, using MIA Precision with 62 Original pup, SIT Power Wounds at EADG:

Vol = 2.5
Bass = +6db
Lmid = +4db
HiMid = +1db
Treb = Flat

This was in a 20 x 50 finished basement, but no seperating walls.
1 drummer (somewhat mellow), 1 les paul, 1 Ibby G10 both running thru Fender 212s.
I dont try to provide much except thump due to having 2 guitarists, but this mixes well.

Keep in mind this pup is underwound by most standards

With my other basses, I have set different, but did not write them down. Doing battle this coming week, I will be sure to post up.

Thanks for your tone settings mrb327. :cool:

That's a HUGE practice space. My last gig was in a small bar about this size with about 50-65 folks. I used my Rumble 75 at about 1/3rd volume in an electric smooth jazz/blues/rock duo.

Keep in mind this pup is underwound by most standards

I my opinion Fender's "Original" '62 Precision pickup is perfectly wound :smug:

I had a Fender Rumble 60 for home practice when they first came out..now I have a Rumble 75 for Home.

But, man...now a 500wt head...GAS!!!

Ampeg PF 500...or a Rumble? Damn!

Well this is the Fender Rumble Club now isn't it? :D

The recommendation of a new Rumble 500 is a solid one. The D Class power amp section is the very same ICEPower Bang & Olufsen design as used in Genz Benz; Aguilar Tone Hammer, and also GK's new MB series as are the D class Rumble 150's & 350's. Fender Rumbles have a well earned reputation for solid road worthy reliabilty as well as excellent gig worthy power and full rich well defined tone.

On the other hand the Ampeg PF-500 has earned itself a reputation for catastrophic failure. So much so that on other forums it is known by the nickname of Potty Flex because it goes potty and takes a dump on stage right in the middle of your set. Ampeg's customer service is notoriously poor with long repair turn around wait times.

The choice is yours. Since you own a Rumble 75 would like a member number?
