Fender Rumble Club

Beautiful Bass and Rumble Rig!! Very nice!!
Thanks so much! I’ll be playing and playing this bass a lot. I’m not used to a J bass and my right (plucking) hand needs to get used to finding the neck pickup when I go to the E. I guess it will come in time. The tone of this bass is great! Thanks for the compliment.

Thanks Linnin... it’s great to hear that from you. I have followed your posts for advice and direction on several things. Most recently, your review of the GHS Pressurewounds. I know that was kind of a dated post. I ordered some that I will be putting on my Squier PJ. Just ordered GHS Precision Flats for the 60s J. I went with the “Regular” gauge (45-105), hoping there isn’t an issue with the G string fitting in the nut slot. I have never played flats before, so I thought they would go great on a J.

Just kidding, I finally got them to stop calling, but they used to cold call me trying to drum up a sale.
Hmmm... strange. I have been a customer of theirs for the last 10 years or so and never got a cold call. Only follow-ups on recent purchases. Glad you stopped the cold-calling. That can get very annoying!

I've been getting so many Robocalls lately that I don't answer any unidentified number. If it's legit, they'll leave a message, I'll call back and tell them I was in the 'rain locker'.

Yes... easiest way to avoid “unwanted” calls. Just because the phone rings doesn’t mean you have to answer it!

Answer it anyway.
If it's a salesman, do what I do.
Ask them what color underwear they are wearing.
Never hear from them again.

With the "robo" calls I've been getting, it's a recording programmed to respond to responses b4 it turns you over to a (foreign) person. If I do get a person, I tell them "just a minute, I gotta get a pen and paper". Then I go make breakfast.

Thank you @Kipp Harrington, that's very kind of you to say. GHS Pressurewounds haven't changed, so it doesn't matter how dated my review becomes it is still just as fresh and accurate as the day I wrote it.

The same can be said of my review of GHS Precision Flats except that GHS has tweaked the E string to make it better straight out of the pack. Don't worry about your nut slots as the stock Fender nut can accommodate a much heavier 55-110 set without any modification.
