Fender Rumble Club

I am excited about everything about the 210 except for the price. I don't see why it should be only $50 cheaper than the 410.

I know... Not super thrilled about that. HOWEVER, I suspect that may be coming down a bit. I am figuring it *should* be in at the $299.99 or somewhat lower price point...

Yes, I was thinking about a pair of the new 2 x 10 cabinets with the new Bassman 500 hybrid head. That combination should be awesome. However, I want to stack the cabinets vertically so I have to warm up to the idea of the overhang of the head (with the head being a couple of inches wider than the cabinets).

Quit complaining! The entire Rumble line is cheap as chips. You can very easily spend twice as much and not get better. Different, yes. Better, no. Show me any other competitor that can surpass a Rumble 500 combo + Rumble 210 cabinet for $850!!! I mean really, com'on now!

Rechecking basic E.E. in regards to series vs parallel wiring in audio amplification.

From the descriptions shown, and assuming I understood it well enough, ALL SPEAKERS wired in parallel, which is how the extension cab wires to the main internal in the combo, would effectively divide the available power more or less evenly. Thus, your 500 watts at 4 ohms would deliver 125 watts per speaker in a 4 speaker configuration, or 83.333.... watts per speaker in a 6 speaker configuration.

But they're not. Refer back to my Rumble Woofer Talk. That'll clue you in.

OK Here We Are! http://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifiers-effects/fender-rumble-700w-2x10-bass-speaker-cabinet
$350
  • Power handling: 700W
  • Speakers: 2x10" Eminence drivers; one compression tweeter
  • Impedance: 8 ohms
  • Two recessed steel handles
  • Removable silver grille cloth
  • Dimensions: 19" x 23" x 14"
  • Weight: 39 lb.

WANT. It is a few lbs heavier than I was hoping for, but the side handles should make up for it lifting-wise. Otherwise, everything I'd want in a matching 210. Can't wait.

Good that Fender listened to us about the 210, but I, too, was expecting it to be at around $299. I mean, $349 makes it only $150 cheaper than the 500 combo - which has a $400 amp in it? Doesn't make sense.
Also, It says made in China. I believe the 500 combos are made in Indonesia. Which has me wondering if they will sound the same.
Was expecting lighter than the combo.
I'm still excited, but i don't think I'll be the first one to buy it. Given that the 500 combo is blowing the doors off everywhere I play, I can wait.

The 2x10 speakers cab, have two 10'' with 4 ohms each connected together in series,or two 16 ohms connected together in parallel.Together is 8 ohms in both cases.

The 4x10 cab speakers is four 10''.There is some methods to connected all of theme together and the final output be 8 ohms.First one is all of theme be 2 ohms (i don't think soo) and connected in series.Second all of theme be 32 ohms and connected parallel(i don't think soo either).Third way is all of theme be 8ohm and be connected as a two pair parallel and between the pairs in series.
From the above you can see that the speakers of the 2x10 is differed between them from the 4x10 speakers. The final parallel connection is between the cabs, not between the speakers them selfs. You must see the cab as a total, not as a individuals speakers. There is not 6 speakers with the same ohms.

I think i wright it all right with my poor English:D

So you noticed! So did I when I zoomed in on the back of the images from Musician's Friend.
Here's what I've been able to find out ->

So Listen Up Peeps!

The new cabs are made in China. They are being manufactured for Fender by Eminence!
Very same electronics. Plywood is different/heavier. Fender's Indonesian facility has been running Full Tilt Boogie for a year now and simply doesn't have the capacity to take on more product.

Imagine that! You'd think they have a popular product or something...

No, sorry, but you're in error also. You'll see. It's not a sin to be wrong. That's how we learn and grow. I get corrected all the time. It's all OK.

My error is for the 4x10 ohms you mean?Could be this way i say, there is no final difference in my calculations.I thought that the 10'' of the 4x10 is 8 ohms, because there is a 10'' speaker with 8 ohms in the production line, for the other Rumbles. It's seams weird to make a 16 ohms special for the 4x10 cab.

So,we can't mix speaker from the 2x10,the combo 40w and the 10" from the 4x10.

Edit:I just see that the 10" speaker for the Rumble 40 is Fender special, not Eminence.
