Fender Rumble Club

Howdy folks, can I get a group number please? I use a Fender Rumble 100 for rehearsal and small acoustic-band work. Love the sound out of this 22 lb amp!

Welcome, chuy, indeed. It is customary to post a pic of your Rumble, even though we all know what they all look like, if you don't mind. Occasionally, there are some very artistic photos posted, which inspire us all the more. :D

It's official. Sold my Markbass and I'm using my Rumble 40 for my gigs. Some have said it's not big enough, but so far it's been great for our gigs (I use it as a stage monitor, elevated and angled upward) and DI into the desk. It's simply been an amp that I plug into (mostly) leave the dials at noon and it always sounds great. The Markbass was always a struggle and I never did like the sound.

Now that we're switching to IEM's in my band it makes even more sense to just haul the Rumble 40 around.
Here's a shot from this past weekend rocking the Ric/Hoff and Rumble 40:

+1 Agreed. I've never liked the sound of MarkBass. Here in the USA they are outrageously overpriced compared to their competition. You made a wise choice in the Fender Rumble 40.

Oops, I almost forgot my weekend gig report. Guess what preset I used on the Rumble Studio? Saturday, bluegrass jam, slack attendance (only 1 [but outstanding!!!] dobro, 1 full time fiddle & 1 part-time, 1 mandolin, 1 banjo, 4 full time guitars & 1 part-time) and I'm the only bassist. No upright bass, like last month. (sigh) But, it was a very good group, and a splendid time was garanteed for all. :)

Guessed the preset yet? Yes, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, ... broken record, ... broken record, ... zzZZT! It was, again, #9, #9, #9, ... "Deep Rumble". Yes, I know, I'm stuck in a rut (and the '60s), but it feels/sounds so goo-ood. It's the closest either of my (only 2) Rumbles has come to sounding like the tone I love from my Bassman 500. :smug:

Plus, at least one guitarist told me I needed to turn up my volume! But, I think they were just more hard-of-hearing than the others. :(

#9, #9, #9, ... "Deep Rumble".
Yes, #9 'Deep Rumble' is really good. In that same vain I also like: #98 'Day Tripper'; #67 'Down Deep', and #12 'TV Dub 18'. All killer. Down Deep and TV Dub 18 are both based on the TV Bassman with the Dub 18 using the SWR Big Ben 18" cabinet emulation (killer in it's own right if you've ever heard a real Big Ben). Day Tripper uses the tube preamp with a compressor and EQ7. I've not gone inside the preset to check out the internal settings under the hood (bonnet for you Brits).

Hi G-Dog, not sure how artistic this may be... but it does what I need it to do. Thanks for starting the Wiki.

A question for those who have seen the inside of a Rumble V3 combo or cabinet. Do the rubber feet attach with just screws or do they have bolts and/or retainers from the inside?

The reason for asking is that I want to mount my Combo 200 on it's side to match the width of my 1-15" cab and attach/move the feet from the Combo 200 to sit on top of the 1-15" cab. Thoughts?

They attach with screws, actually the screw holes are through the corner guards. I did that on my 200. Just swap the feet/screws to the side and put those old corner screws back into the corners on the bottom (feet screws are longer than the corner screws, so you have to swap the screws. But use the same holes). Hope that makes sense. Bottom line, very easy to do. And looks better on top of the 115 cab.

I think I recall unscrewing a rubber foot from my R500c and finding it to be a wood screw. So, I ordered 4 more feet, with screws, and added them to the side to sit on my Bassman 115 neo cab. My Bassman 500 then sits nicely on the Rumble.
