Fender Rumble Club

Studio and Stage have both a pre and post xlr out and can be configured for stereo post. Master volume does not effect the signal on either as is the case with earlier models. The signal should be balanced line level. If it's too hot the mix man probably has it plugged into a mic preamp. I've had better luck using an xlr to TRS cable and plugging it into a 1/4" line input on my board.
Thanks for straightening me out!

Are you talking about McGraw Hill the publisher?
I'm a college Spanish teacher and we're currently using one of their products (though admittedly, we're phasing them out and going back to a Vista Higher Learning text.-sorry!)

Also:
1. I love this chaining Rumble combos thing everyone is doing and
2. I ordered the MudStand-should be here Thursday.

I just wanted to combine all of my comments so I don't have too many different posts.
Yup. The Mothership. My ex ran EDP (Editing, Design and Production). About $0.5 bn per year.

Why, yes. Yes, they are. So, each of the two R800s could run 2 Bassman 810s!

... ... There's no such thing! What's a few posts more or less in the almost 36,000 posts on this thread alone (with almost 2 million views!), much less on TB as a whole?.

... ... if it's not possible too much: I wanted to say ... ..., but didn't because I didn't want to clog up the thread.
Okay, I said it. You're all right. I feel much better.
I'll probably go do another post right now! ha ha!

That's the spirit! Post away!!

Rumble 115 V3:

If you're trying to drive this with a 2*6L6 amp (with low damping factor, though some say this doesn't matter), like a Bassman or clone, and can't get the lowest notes to sound right, I advise you to block the ports; I was terribly frustrated and worried about the amp circuit, the flats, etc, but once I sealed the cab I got a very noticeable clarification/sharpening of the lows. I don't notice any negatives.

My review of this product is positive: very light and sounds great.

I love my 100. Had the 40. The 12" simply has a lot more UMP, growl and more. Had the 500 and it was amazing. Had to sell.
Get a 2nd 100 when funds allow. There are a coupla gently used ones online. Depending on where you are, you might be able to save shipping.

I think all of you are really on to something with this 100 + 100 chain thing.
I think I will get there if I add the R200h.
That'll essentially give me the R200C in stack form:
I can go R200H into one R115 cab at 140 watts like the R200c (and with a MudStand for tiltback and decoupling at that!!!)
or the R200H into both R115 cabs at 200 watts like the R200c with a R115 cab.
[wrings hands evilly]
Mwhahahahah

Speaker question.. discussion. Worth replacing the speaker in the Rumble200 combo? Am I expecting too much out of cheaper gear? This may get a little wordy and confusing, but I'll try.

Long story, but here it is.
I have owned my v3 Rumble 200 combo for about a year and a half. I think it produces a pretty decent clean sound at lower volumes. I have never fallen in love with the amp. I do think it sounds pretty darn good. But.. I never seemed to like it, no matter how much I adjusted the controls at higher volumes. NOTE: Higher Volumes is everything set to 12 oclock, gain, mids, etc.

I tried buying a Peavey 210 cabinet and added that. I bought another rumble 200 without the head (essentially just a 15" cab) and tried that with the combo. I plugged it into my v4 4-12 cab. No matter what, something would lack. I did get more volume out of it, but the problem that kept driving me crazy was the speaker farting out on the E string. I'm not sure if it is because of the actual speaker or cab construction??

I recently bought an old v4 head and had it completely rebuilt. I run it through the v4 4-12 cab. The Ampeg has a small sweet spot, but my god, when you find it, the Rumble can't compare. It is a glorious sound. I know this is maybe comparing apples to oranges. I don't think the Rumble will ever touch the Ampeg, but it would be nice to keep the fender if I could get rid of the low end issue.

I don't want to get rid of my rumble necessarily. I think it is fine for maybe practices when I don't want to lug this old Ampeg around. I also don't want to dump a bunch of money into something if I could just buy higher end gear (for a light weight setup). Has anyone else had a similar experience with the 200 combo? Has anyone upgraded the speaker with a higher end speaker?

Any thoughts?
Ampeg V4B 100W Head? Had one in 74 and loved it. Make my SG Bass sound amazing. Using V3 100 now and love it. Going to get a second one and chain them. No idea why you're having a problem with the 200. Maybe the bass guitar is not a good fit...

I can do it now... Hell, what am I waiting for...Gotta run and get me that 2nd one...
Ummm...yeah ya do.
and don't forget to post pics...and that goes for ALL you Combo Chainers out there!
I also like your rig in the next post.
I like the look of the 200c or 500c or 210 cab on top of the 115 cab.
The two different sizes look cool together, plus the combos are a little taller than another 115 cab on top which would get the speakers closer to your head.

I'd like to be able to still tilt the 2 V3 100's when I get the 2nd one. Love having the sound passing my ears and having excellent clarity of what I'm playing.
