Fender Rumble Club

Interesting. I noticed that the worst problem I seem to have with my Rumble is my open E and a few of the other lower notes, until I hit the A. The HPF could be a great cure for that?
I dont know yet, all I can say is I got a lot of recommendations for one. I ordered one but it's not here yet. Its popular with double bass and 5 string players. Supposed to clean up those farty, flabby, rattling notes.

I hadn't commented on this because at the volumes I play[not full]and the tone settings I use[Gain: 10 max,
Vintage on, no OD ever, bass:10-11, Lo Mid:2ish, Volume:noon max] I've not met with those problems. Outta curiosity, is everything(mounting screws, etc.) tight?

Yup. Definitely everything tight in my case. It is basically when the volume goes up to about 12 oclock, the open E string to A just sounds horrible. It is not something I can adjust out with the amp without ruining the tone of the other strings that sounds good to my ears. (I don't use any of the push buttons on the Rumble 200c) I kind of dealt with it for a year and a half. I thought about putting in a higher end 15" speaker in it, trying pedals, etc. but couldn't really get any solid information. I didn't want to put a bunch of money into the setup either if I could just buy more expensive gear. I'm thinking the HPF is the ticket and wouldn't be a waste of my money regardless. It seems to be something that could come in handy on my other and future amps I may own.

Its definately venue dependent. 2 wineries in particular with lots of wood, stone and glass. At these places, I cut my bass to 9 or less, vintage off. Its manageable, but HPF kept coming up in various threads, so I got curious. Ive also heard that boom is an issue with the 100c specifically

Very cool, didn't know about the V2 amps having the same footprint/magnetic attachment system. Winning!
Ha ha!
“Winning!” Indeed!
Yes!
The v2 head fits perfectly on the v3 cabs!
The Rumble Club walked me through buying that rig and that was one thing I asked about before purchasing the v2.
Looks like I’ll be getting a v3 head after all though sooner or later.

Just for gits and shiggles, try with Vintage on(in?).

Yo, check out this 1000W rms "expansion cab" I just got for my Rumble!

Holy Toledo! What size speakers? How many? What Rumble do you own? Ok, that’s it... done with all the questions... I think.
QSC K12.2.
I'm gonna eat some real food and get the second one next month. I guess the whole band's gonna be coming out the speaker but when they all go home it's an extra 1000w of bass lol. I've got the Rumble 800 Stage.

That's my experience as well for any rig. Best piece of kit I've picked up in a long time. Worth every penny.

Other tips to cut boomyness: isolate it from the stage(stand, pad, tilt back pad), Keep away from corners and walls and make sure your guitar/keyboard players aren't stepping on your FOH slot. They could do well with HPFs too.

Getting your rig up to ear level or tilting it at your ears is probably the best method to help control stage volume and improve hearing your tone. Running vertical cabs is also helpful for the same reasons. See the HPF mega thread and HPF Wiki for more info.

I have a Rumble 500 head, R115 cab and R410 cab. Also an Ampeg BA210v2. I haven’t even gigged with these units yet, but from what I have read about the “wonders” of a HPF, I am getting one soon. Specifically the Fdeck Series 3. Really looking forward to hearing the difference.
If you can't find an Fdeck (seems to be out of stock), Broughton has 3 HPF choices (https://www.broughtonaudio.com/).

How well does this handle bass response? Is it close to a fearful quality?
It's hard to tell how clean it is over all the laser gas but it's definitely thumping. QSC gets some poopie from tone nazis for their DSP but I don't hear so great anyways and digital sounds just fine to my ears. I haven't tried any of the presets beyond the default and I've got the hpf set to the no-sub setting but I'm not sure what it's letting pass in that configuration. It's also got a 100hz and 120hz crossover for different subs. Pretty sure the KW181s crossover at 100hz. Honestly I think it'll do fine for now until I can get a sub and I'll probably just do a 2:1 set up until I can buy a second 2:1 for the other side lol. Rumble 7800 Stage...

Interesting feature though, one of the presets is for using it as a bass amp. Its even got a balanced out to the board. Seemed like a silly addition since the board runs to it but it made more sense after I caught on to its potential as a guitar/bass amp. Might try it out this weekend. But I'm probably just going keep DIing the Rumble to the board instead and forget that it has its own preamps.
