...
I admit to being more than a little disappointed that the Rumbles have been so neglected at this time! I even just noticed that they even make a cover for the Mustang GT40, but not for the Rumble 40. My only straw of hope to grasp at is that the new Tone 3.0 app may yet come to the Rumble Stage & Studio with some useful new features. (sigh)
.
I also would like to see a Fender cover for my Rumble 40. Now when it is parked at home, I use the plastic bag it came with. I have this thing about keeping dust out of pots.

Hi everyone
I’ve had my V3 Rumble 200c for several months now, totally love it. In my room, turned up and jamming with others, all great.

When I got it, the comp I had (EHX Black Finger) ‘suddenly’ sounded kinda poopy, and I felt I didn’t need it with this amp, so I got rid of it.
Been reading up on, and experimenting with the compression available onboard lately, and wow!
I’m having THE MOST FUN stacking the vintage and overdrive circuits for a ‘gently pushed’ sort of sound....varying the gain knob yields awesome sounds as well...
The wiki pages on gain structure and onboard compression are incredibly valuable, thank all of you who make that happen!
Peace

I suspect that Rumbles are sort of reaching a critical mass. They’re already the most popular bass amps out there, so the more people see and hear it, the more they want one, and most dealers know on which side their bread is buttered. And let’s face it - what’s not to like?

It was this popularity which got me started looking at Rumble combos but not at a store. I played an early show and afterwards walked around town seeing if I could listen to some local bands around. I checked out two respected bars (at least by me anyway) and in both the bassists were using a Rumble V3 combo (Looked like R100s). They sounded great in the mix. I though to myself, "Humm. I should check these out." This lead me here and to my Rumble 40.

Check out Tuki Covers..they are expensive but so is the amp and if you want to protect it these covers are extremely well made..I own one for my Rumble 500C and also one for my 115 cab. You amp is an investment so don't skimp on the covers to look after it..thats my thoughts on the matter anyway loll..btw i'm not affiliated with Tuki Covers..just a happy customer. Check out their range at the link I have provided. Good luck @bassdeal
Fender Rumble V3 40 1x10 Bass Combo Amp Padded Cover (New Version)

I got a V3 Rumble 100 a week ago for my smaller gigs. So far i'm very happy with the amp and i was surprised by how good it sounded, how lightweight it is and the amount of volume that it puts out. and this is coming from someone that has been using fairly large 100% tube amps at all of my gigs. the Rumble will get its first real test on my next gig on feb 1st. i also bought a fender cover and the on stage tilt stand for it.

Fender Rumble V3 40 1x10 Bass Combo Amp Padded Cover (New Version)

Thanks @Giffro. Took a look. Look nice but as you stated expensive, almost 1/2 of what I paid for the amp new (I did get a good discount). I will consider it.

A while back I posted looking for suggestions on getting my Rumble 40 off the floor so I can hear it better in very tight spaces. Normal amp stand takes too much floor space with the folding legs. Some really good suggestions and thanks for them all.

I did a show yesterday afternoon at the place (a very nice winery) which prompted my question and the night before I was still pondering how to solve this problem then it hit me. A milk crate with a board to supply some front-end elevation.

The space available at the show was even less than before with an added table crowding us in tighter. I did get my setup and it sounded great! I could hear the amp so much better and from asking around during break the projection was good. Dialing in a good tone and setting the proper volume was much easier. Overall a much more pleasant experience.

I took some photos at the show to display how well it setup fit in but none of them turned out well (too dark). Below is the setup redone in the basement. Primitive and not the most attractive but it did work surprisingly well. Also I was able to keep the milk crate on stage with my extra stuff. Usually I have to take it back to my car. Maybe painting the board black would look better. The solution seems so obvious now but for some reason it escaped me.

johnk, shoot us a pic of your Rumble 100 and join The Club. That is, if you've got any "digital film" left after making your website! Holy Moly, that's a lotta overdrive pedals! :woot:

Break a leg, or two, at your next gig. Sounds like you're all set up with the cover and tilt stand.

HOO WEE, johnny! Now that's a sincerely awe inspiring photo! @johnk_10, you are now member #1168 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations, and welcome. Make yourself at home posting here and browsing the Rumble Club Wiki page linked in my signature.

john, please tell me that's an actual vintage Mustang bass. In Daphne Blue? OMG, it just makes me melt! The wear almost looks a little too unreal, for some reason I can't put my finger on. And the faded pickguard is just too sweet. Please, what's the story there? It's making me miss my (then) brand new '71 red Competition 'Stang even more'n usual. :(
