Fender Rumble Club

Eastwood Airline Mapbass.
I know this is a Rumble amp thread, but was curious about your Eastwood and looked it up. Awesome looking bass and had a "deja vu" and dug further as it looked familiar. Dan Auerbach - The Black Keys - plays the guitar equivalent...

Cool vibe with that bass! I'd love to try one out.

View attachment 3910827 I have this little thing-y, which has an exciter effect on it. I'll re-battery it and give it a go.View attachment 3910830
Update: Hooked it up and put it on 'exciter'. According to the poop sheet, that effect works with how hard or soft you pluck/pick(i.e., attack). The previous setting, 'preamp' works to clean up the signal. Might use it next gig. If there is a next gig.

I didn't tell you guys but I had a gig last week at a good sized bar with a nice roomy stage, drum riser, beefy PA and lighting setup. It was also the first time I'd used the DI out from the Rumble.
The Owner mixed us himself.
At soundcheck we went through each drum, then the kit, then the vocals and lastly both guitars.
He didn't ask me to play any bass, oddly, so I felt a little concerned (or left out to be honest lol).
But anyway we played through White Room & 20th Century Boy for him and the barflies, who enjoyed it, but I had to ask afterward if the bass was OK.
He said all he did was raise the fader and it sounded good!
These Rumbles are damned cool guys.

I switched the overdrive in & out and boosted the volume a few times that night too, didn't see him scrambling back to the board though. ... The post master DI level must be well calibrated. ... ...

Yes, the all-too-common fears of the post-Master DI are wildly exaggerated, as per your experience and many other real world experiments and tests linked in the Rumble XLR Out Volume Levels section of the Rumble Club Wiki page, linked in my signature. And others dislike a post-EQ DI, but why? If you craft a specific tone, don't you want that going to the PA and/or recorder? Of course you do! The sound engineer isn't gonna dial in the bass tone you want, especially if you change for different songs.

The club's a little quiet today so I'll post a photo of my pedalboard:

The base adds to the tone. :D

Ah! Sneaking your Rumble pic in camouflaged with pedals, eh? I overlooked your Rumble 500 head there before, but please allow me to correct my mistake. @Pulverizor, you are now member #1239 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. I assume, from your long presence here that you're familiar with the place, including the Rumble Club Wiki page, right? If not, I reckon you'll let us know how we can help.

M'kay? So, whatever else I've overlooked, or forgotten, or missed, or overlooked, or didn't respond to, or overlooked, or forgotten, I ... wait, what was I talking about? Oh, well, let's all just ... ...

Rumble On!

Give us the deets, labeledy. Looping the FX didn't help? But the extension speaker works? Izzat a homemade Rumble cab clone? Wassup?

Thats my rumble 200, with the amp removed. I made a plate, basically a terminal so I could at least still use speaker, well woofer, I defeated the tweet (seems fender keeps all there filters somewhere on the board).
I tried "exercising" the jacks, all of them, also patched the fx I/O, still nothing. I cant remember if i mentioned but the send works, head phones out work, all the functions atop work, via phones/send
, woofer works (cant confirm the horn). So there are some outputs I didnt try, I did unplug a couple ribbon cables, but nothing. I plan on disassembling the entire head, within my will, blowing everything out and cleaning as good as I can.

But no, this is the cabinet, I run laser engravers for a living, had to make some sort of terminal since my local guitar shop didn't have any, figured Id have some fun. The cabinet sounds great, I have this pushing it at the moment. Only gripe is the screw retainers for the woofer, not cool fender, not cool

I will say the sound came in at random times when I was fiddling with it, nothing loose, just all the sudden bam

Here is my tiny 100.
I do like it, it's set up like this gain/bass/lowmid/highmid/treble at 12/10/2pm/3pm/12 because the rooms acoustics make it boomy otherwise.

My bday is coming up so I got myself a compressor and some other useful things on the way.

I like it and it does what I needed it to do :)

Oucha, ma-goucha, Kat! That's a-nice! @Katoosie, you are now member #1240 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome to TalkBass in general and The Club in particular. What time does the bar open?

I'm sorry, Pulvey. Surely you've heard (and I'm not calling you Shirley) that the bars are still closed, or closed again, due to That Thang Goin' 'Round. You'll still have to make your own beer run, or better, and have your own socially distant, and driver responsible, bash (with live music, of course).

Too bad you've got that Rumble 500 head, which doesn't qualify for the Combo Club, or you could join there and attend one of the many well stocked, and well managed, adult beverage venues (most open 24 hours) in their Combo Club Clubhouse, for members and their guests only. But just about any bass combo amp should qualify. If you have such a combo, just post a pic and tell the Fearless Leader there, @iagtrplyr, that "The Double-0 Dog" sent you. He might let you in, anyway!

Sorry to hear that, labeledy. Hope you get it working. If not, it might be worth a conversation with your nearest Authorized Fender Service Center. Please keep us posted, eh?

Your best bet would be to tell me you have “no idea” who 007-G’Dog is, but since that cat is outta the bag, I recommend you and anyone else on this page to surf on over to the CC, post a pic of your combo, and I’ll ring ya up with a number you can add to your sig.

We have a great relationship with the Rumble Club because Rumble combos are so darn popular.

Thanks Pooch, I owe ya one!

Hi guys, I have a TC electronic BQ500 500w 4ohm, based on some threads I've read, it's not the actual wattage and probably less than that.

I'm planning on getting a 210 v3 300w 8ohm cab, do you think the head and cab combo can be heard in a band setting, knowing all the wattage and impedance difference?

it's will be me on bass, 2 guitars, 1 vocals and a drummer in a garage setting.
