Fender Rumble Club

Nice deal! You can probably just tape or glue that light back in place, unless it's a bare LED now and you're also needing a cover for it. I'm not sure if anywhere stocks them but emailing Fender might work.

Knowing me I'd say I was going to fix it, maybe look for the part, realize it's too expensive and time consuming for what it is, and then a couple years down the road I'd just tape it in place. But if I could solder worth a damn I'd probably consider swapping the red LEDs for white or purple. I'd just match the specs to the ones Fender used and make sure they'd fit through the holes.

yea, its the cover for the light that is missing, and looks like one of the little clips attached to the led that holds the the cover on and therefore the light in place is broken... so yep, tape or glue for now,i guess. maybe a new light if i can find the specs for it like you said...
i swapped the red jewel cover for blue on that deluxe reverb in the background just for fun a while back, i think it was when i bought the tilt back legs for it, so if i do change the light on the rumble i'd probably go for not red again too.

my half price "scratch and dent" 500 combo arrived today! i'll have to wait until tomorrow to really play around with it but it definitely works and sounds pretty good already with minimal fiddling around with knobs and buttons.

there is a not incredibly noticeable ding/dent in the wood where the tolex is also just barely split. and the power indicator light has fallen into the chassis... i opened it up and it seems i will need a replacement plastic light cover or something to hold it back in place (anyone know where to get one?)... other than that she looks brand spankin' new!

so what's my #? :bassist::hyper:

Thanks for posting this. Led me down a rabbit hole of setting it up, SoundCloud, Stripe, and Patreon. Not that I think I'll actually make money, but hey if I do it can fund the release of my music to Spotify.

Good call and good luck!

Heck, who cares about the light? Just pluck a string and you will know if its on or off...[/QUOTE

You don’t really need the light in practice, but I would certainly advocate getting it fixed, or at least closing up that hole somehow - an upward-facing hole in anything electrical is asking for trouble. If any liquid finds its way in there, you could ruin the amp at best, or get an electric shock or start a fire at worst. I would also be concerned that anything loose inside the amp might shift when the amp is moved and create further problems. There’s a lot of current inside an amp, and while it may be OK, I would certainly want to be safe rather than sorry.

Is there a way the stage 800 can be used to tune 1/2 step or full step down? I have been using a Drop Pedal for alternate tuning in my cover band. However the few milliseconds of delay from the pedal leave the signal a little flat and lifeless.

Excellent question for our Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 sub-thread that I introduced you to, Joe! Keeps from annoying our non-modeling Rumblers here.

There's also a link on the Rumble Club Wiki page, in the Tone App Support section, at the end of the Droopy_TX Preset Experience sub-section, called "Use Pitch Shifter to Detune, or Drop Tune, Your Bass".

Hope this helps.

Haven't added my 2 cents lately and this might help someone record their Rumble. Now that I have a little home recording studio, I need to record bass. Upright bass was easy with just a Shure KSM44A which caught everything an upright is all about. Electric bass took me down a fun, experimental path. I tried both my Rumble 200 and 100. I recorded each with line-out, Shure SM57, and KSM44A. The 44 was just too real, without the bass tones that would mix well. The line-out is a true and reliable signal, but it has just way too much of the fundamental on its own. Also, recording just a line-out is not what I would consider professional recording. It was easy to find the sweet spot on either amp with the SM57. I tried every combination I could think of and in the end, the obvious winner was the Rumble 100 with the SM57 and some line-out added back in to round out the complete picture. For recording, the 12 inch speaker just had so much more of everything I needed. I learned beyond any doubt why the SM57 is an industry standard.

Looks like I finally made it to this club. I've played a few Rumbles at GC over the last 2 years and like what I heard. My Ampeg is biting the dust so I finally had an excuse to splurge on a Rumble. I went with the 40 for bedroom practice. I hope it sounds good with my bass. I had to use the available short scales at GC and didn't try it out with my bass. I'm sure I'll be satisifed anyways.
satisfied is the least you should expect.

I didn't get much feedback from the Jazz bass club. What do my Rumblers think of the new 75th Jazz? My local L&M says they've got one coming in in August and if I put a bill down then it's going to get set aside for me. I must say I'm really tempted. I've got a bunch of gear I want to sell and in the past L&M gave nearly as much on credit as I'd get in cash out of local sales. So that's not helping the GAS.

I am happy with my Player P bass. A Jazz is not on my list at present but I hope you like it.

Funny enough I didn't have a Jazz on my list. I started looking up fretless basses, which were mostly Jazz basses. And then I saw the 75th. It's only a 4 string but otherwise it's most of what I want in a Jazz bass and it's limited edition.

Then again I could just stick with my IYV Jazz. It's just not quite as nice as a real Fender and it's too heavy to play standing. lol
