Fender Rumble Club

Huh? A falling out with your EB0? :wideyed: Now I gotta undo the membership roll update! :sour:
.

Not at all. The EB-0 is right where it needs to be.

Rumble 500 v3 combo extension for full 500 watts.
2x10 vs 1x15?
What are some benefits of each?

210 cab:
Pro:
Matching dimensions, and stable, when stacked.
Near-vertical array of four 10" drivers gives "coupling" effect for more presence.
Fairly even balanced carry with combo in other hand.
350 watts continuous rating.
More cone area for more SPL.
Con:
Costs more new.
Uh, ... ... hmmm ...
115 cab:
Pro:
Costs less new.
Very stable "Pyramid" shape when stacked.
Some hear more fullness from 15".
Fairly even balanced carry.
300 watts continuous rating is enough for 250W from R500c.
Con:
Different dimensions annoys OCD in some.
"Only" 300 watts continuous rating.
Less cone area for less SPL.

The (notso) simple answer is which sounds better to you. There are Rumblers who have both configurations. For me the ideal extension for my 200c is the R212 cab-that they never built. :banghead: It's really a matter of personal taste-and OCDness. And cost(maybe).

Naw! That can't be right! it's gotta be in the numbers. :wacky:

Yeah, and they'll tell you it's all in the numbers! :p

That is, of course, the answer to all our dreams. The long awaited low 30s-lb. 212 Rumble cab! (sigh)

And they said there'd be no math. (Harrumph!)

thanks for your input guys. I am OCD and like matching dimensions. But I kind of like how 500 combo looks flipped on the top of 115. I would probably install rubber feet on the side of the combo for better stability.
Not in the hurry with this purchase. For now combo is enough. But one day it may not be and I think that I should get one of extensions while they still in production. I think “more fullness” is what I am looking for so I am leaning towards 115. 112 would be great compromise.

EDIT: and as an OCD person I would move Fender logo to the right spot :)

I had a 112 with my 200c. The tone was perfect-for me-but there was only one place we play(ed)that I could justify taking it. After sitting under my kitchen table for over a year, I sold the cab to someone who could actually use it.

That's exactly what I did to build my 700 watt BassRumbMan rig! And the Rumble still fits just fine, with the rubber feet on the side, into its MDB cover.

looks great. Where did you get rubber feet?

It's been so long ago, I don't remember. But I just now googled "rubber feet for amplifiers" and got several sources that look pretty good.

The problem is; I never got to actually use this rig at more than a couple outdoor gigs with my very loud country cover band!!! Even then, the combined amps were overkill. Either one was always plenty! So, I grab the Rumble & roll, ever since. Preserve the good looks of the Bassman at home.

What?!? I thought France did away with all that stuff, no? Sacré bleu, cher!

At least I have a pass sanitaire, so I can eat indoors. We've had a heat wave (again) this week. Highs 34-36. Finally down to 26 or so tomorrow. The apartment hotel I'm in until my rental is ready (until my house is built) has no a/c. Not pleasant. The only cooling off I get is eating indoors and shopping.

Harrumph! So, is this what you have in mind, tommy? From the Extension Speaker Cabinets section of your Rumble Club Wiki page.
