Hi! Have my Fender Rumble 800 Stage on the way and have a question I don't see answered in the manual.
Can the vintage/Bright/Contour buttons be saved in presets, or is that only controllable by the hardware switches. My use case would be RUMBLE AMP MODULE WITHOUT VINTAGE, then change presets to AMPEG WITH VINTAGE BUTTON without needing to push the additional hardware button.
Thanks!
Greetings, Stan! Is "dupnfall" your real last name, or a pseudonym? Oh, nevermind.
Welcome to TalkBass in general and to The Rumble Club in particular. You've come to the right place! Please post a photo of your Rumble Stage 800
right here when it arrives and receive a free unique Club membership number. Then, for such modeling discussions as you have here proposed, we ask that you use
our Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 club sub-thread specifically for such modeling topics. But, for your orientation purposes, I'll seek to begin your edification process here, for today only.
The short answer to your question is "Yes! The Vintage/Bright/Contour switch settings are saved with the presets." And, as brother B Dax points out, the Stage and Studio amps don't even have such hardware switches! They exist only in the software for the Rumble amp models. Such is modeling, as you may be aware.
In fact, in looking at
a detailed listing of the stock presets, I don’t see such a Vintage switch listed for the "Rockin' 'Peg" amp model at all! Is there a physical Ampeg SVT amp with such a hardware Vintage switch? The modeling software doesn’t let you "build" new features into the modeled amps, pedals or cabs. It only lets you adjust all the features they already have, and arrange the pedals in whatever order you wish.
Stan, have you read the
manual for the Rumble Studio 40 & Stage 800? It is quite illuminating on some topics, while fairly vague on others. That's another reason we've assembled links to several helpful resources in
the Rumble Stage 800 & Studio 40 section of
our Rumble Club Wiki page, repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge. And most highly recommended for understanding presets is
The Droopy_TX Rumble Preset Experience sub-section of
the Rumble Tone App Support section of the Wiki page. His linked spreadsheets and PDF files give a great orientation and insight into those features.
Welcome, again, Stan. Can't wait to see your Rumble here. But please feel free to continue this discussion in
the Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 club sub-thread.
