Fender Rumble Club

I'm starting to get GAS for these Rumble amps! Debating between the 500 combo with a 210 extension cabinet or the 500 head and a pair of either 112 or 115 cabs. The 112 and 115 are the same price and there is only 8 lbs difference in weight, so I'm having trouble choosing between those as well.

I can't say enough good about the 500 combo / 210 cab stack... But I admit I am a bit biased...

I bought a friend for my 500v3 combo. According to shipping status, the 115 cab is out for delivery. That means that there is a good chance I'll have her home by noon. I can't wait to hear how the two will pair. With some luck the sound could be magic.
Possibly
Mega-Boogie-mini.

The mixed driver police are coming for you!

Just got my 200 combo.

Wow. Just, wow.

I had to plug it in to try it out, so I went in to our bedroom ('cause my wife is working in the office). I set the EQ flat, gain at 12 o'clock and the volume at 9 o'clock. I was standing in front of it and I could feel the floor vibrating under my feet (I was upstairs).

I go back to the office where my wife is working, she told me she could here it. Then she asked me if I cranked it up yet. I said no, I didn't want to bother her, and she says "Man, I would have". So now, it's time to go plug it in again and crank it up to see what it can do.

Oh, and the tone? So sweet. After playing through the 40 and then my little Hartke 25 (which they both have nice tone for their size), the 200 is out of this world. Of course, I'm new to all this so I don't have much of a frame of reference. That aside, I am diggin' this 200.

So, I just tried the new 200 with the volume at 12 o'clock and at 3 o'clock. Absolutely mind blowing!

Now granted, I'm only in a master bedroom upstairs, which is no comparison to where we'd likely be playing, but dang, this bad boy can really bring it.

Did you break anything? First time I turned my 500 up to about noon the drywall in the ceiling was shaking so hard nail heads started popping out...

No, but everything in the room was rattling. At first I thought the amp had some sort of vibration, but it was basically everything in the room that wasn't nailed down.

I took the front off and had my daughter put her hand in front of one of the air holes. When I struck a note she jumped back all startled. She wasn't expecting that. :smug:

In a big room playing live, it only seems to get even louder. Like the room becomes part of the amp. You may find the same thing I realized when I played my 200 at a club; I actually turned down! I consider that a great thing just in case I were ever to need way more power. I was in a pretty big room and had plenty left to go on the dial.

I can't wait to take her out and stretch her legs. For our group, this is going to be all I'll need for a while. And when I need more, it's just $250-$300 for a 115 cab to take it to the next level. I know a 500, to some, might be the next level, but for our group it's going to take a while to outdo this Rumble. We may never outgrow the 200 unless we go electric.

It's about moving air not watts. I preferred the sound of the 10s ever so slight as it is...

This setup right here, my Rumble Rig, the V3 Combo with the 210 extension cabinet and my USA Nitro Satin Honey Burst Precision, has cured all of my GAS.

The rest of any improvement needed in sound, tone, whatever, is all on me.
