Fender Rumble Club

This has definitely cured my GAS (that and my wife has put an end to my GAS :D).

My Squier VM 70's Jazz and Rumble 200.

Walked into SamAsh an hour ago. 1st thing i see is a traynor YBA200-2 for $199! sitting on top of an Aguilar 412. I play it & it sounds OK... Just OK, It's $199 & all tube, (crickets chirping) but it just sounds OK... I walk around to a fender Rumble 500 head sitting on top of a hartke 410 cab. Plug everything up & it's not working. I Go through different cables & cabs but there was something wrong & it wouldn't put out any sound. I guess I'll never know what those guys in that Rumble club keep talking about, The GC 300 ft. away hasn't even got one. Yes, in my town there is a Guitar Center & a Sam Ash 300 ft. away from each other. I walk to the wall to put back the fender Jazz I was holding & see a Fender Rumble 200 combo with the 15" speaker. I plug in & play for about 5 seconds... Sounds good... Too good. I Start messing with the distortion & shape filters etc. Needless to say the last time I had a smile on my face that big was when I use to plug into my Ampeg SVT II (Non Pro). Funny thing is I even got close to the tone of the Ampeg SVT II the more I messed with it. Albiet the massive 3D tube push from tubes wasn't there but the sound sure was. Oh & I didn't poop myself when I tried to lift the Fender Rumble. I had to wear a diaper every show just to move around the Ampeg SVT II. There was a nice character & depth to the sound of the Rumble. The Ampeg PF500 I just played over at GC can't hold a candle next to this Fender head. I'm going to purchase the Rumble 500 head & two of the Rumble 410 cabs. I have to battle two guitarist with 100W heads (who love low mids) & a heavy handed drummer. I think this set will work OK, (I hope) the band is heavy prog/doom metal/rock mix of crazy with the bass being out in front of the mix. The last set up I had was an Ampeg 810 & 4Pro. I Didn't have a problem blowing guitarist out of the water with that. Now, if I can just stop rocking back & forth in my chair like a junkie waiting for his fix. I NEED THAT RUMBLE!

To all,

I made the jump.... I am now a proud owner of the Rumble 500 head!!! I also bought myself a GK 212MBE cabinet. It simply rocks! The overdrive tone is what I have been looking for and certainly a major improvement over the former Rumble versions, in my opinion.

The contour, bright and vintage switches are excellent and add to the variety of
Tones you can get. Honestly, kudos to Fender for such a portable, great sounding and performing amplifier. BTw, it is loud as hell too !!! My Cab is a 4 ohms and it is unreal loud if one want it to!

Number please!

Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club, Turlu! :woot: You are member #401 :hyper:

 Rumbles Rock! :smug:

Happy Second Anniversary Fender Rumble Club!!!

Two years ago Bumble Bee very timidly brought the Fender Rumble Club into existence. One by one we came out and admitted to the world that we owned Fender Rumbles, and even worse that we loved them. The first six months was kind of rough but the our club survived, and now we Thrive!

Last year at our first anniversary we had just gone over 100 members. eudiamonia of Germany is member 99 and was first to get one of the new V3 Rumbles, and in his case it was a Rumble 500 head and 115 cabinet.

Just like the story of the Fender Rumble line itself our club has been witness to explosive growth. Going from just over 100 members last year to just over 400 members for an incredible 300% growth rate year-over-year. Our membership comes from all walks of life and social strata and from many different nations. Just as the Fender Rumble has become a global phenomenon, so too has our club welcomed all comers without prejudice.

This is your club, and you have made it what it is today. Hold your heads high and be proud of yourselves, and your Rumbles. As Always,

 Rumble On!

Cleaned out my garage today to make room for a second band I'm starting. I found this gem hanging out ready to play. I forgot all about it with all the love I'm giving my 500 combo. So I fired her up and gave her a workout . Still sounds great.

My only gripe is that I wish the 500 series would have come in a 1x15 combo as well. Next purchase will be two of the Bassman 115 Neos.
All of the Fender Bassman Pro Neo cabs are Killer and well worth the price of admission. You can have a pair of Rumble 115 cabs for the price on one Bassman 115. If you've not heard the smooth broad tone of the Rumble 115's, maybe you should give them a go. If $$$ are no issue, then yes The Eminence Neo woofers are beyond compare. They are my favorite, and I love them even more than the AlNiCo JBL D-140's or EVM-Serries II with 88 ounce AlNiCo magnets. I love the sound of Neos. Crisp. Clear. Powerful. Toneful Soul.

My Rumble 350 on 2 4x10 cabs stand just fine against 2 100 watt guitar players and the drums. As good as Rumbles are I would almost think the 500 would be overkill. But I'll probable get the one that lurks at the Sam Ash and just keep both. But the 350 is really loud I have rarely taken it past high noon on the volume.

Oh Hell Yes!! That 4 ohm Rumble 410 cab sold hand-over-fist for two years straight until it was discontinued for the new 8ohm V3 410. The finial shipments were snatched up at full price like no tomorrow.
