Played a fun gig last night - the room was a decent size, I'd say 60' x 40', so I though I'd bring both my Rumble 200c & the 15" extension cab.

The pair handle the room with absolute ease - I honestly think I could have done the gig with just the 200c alone. But, I like the fullness that 2 15's give - they move a lot of air.

Excuse my (potentially) silly question but... how did the drummer get amp'd? Through your Rumble combo too? Or you guys had some beefy PAs for the kick drum?

We play classic rock....70's through 90's. We do quite a bit of grunge, STP, Alice in Chains, etc. which have some pretty intricate base lines that drive the songs. 3 piece private party band, we do some bars on occasion but I normally play ampless in those settings. I feel like especially outdoors the 15's lose their punch and articulation at higher volumes and are more subject to farting out when the headroom gets limited. I've never played though 12's but the TB hive mind say maybe they are the best option...I don't really know. Rumble 500c is really what changed my mind. Blown away by what comes out of that thing.

For a three piece, you and your equipment have to be good, congrats on gigging. Outside venues can be tough to dial with bass if the drivers can't be driven hard, IMHO.

Boy, now I REALLY feel old to think that "classic rock" is '70s thru '90s! Here I thought it was '50s thru '70s. ​

Stop me if you've heard this one: I was an absolute 15" snob until I got my R500c. I only ordered it to see how many of its audacious marketing claims I could disprove and return it for a Bassman 500. (Admittedly quite a Bassman snob, too, where Rumbles were concerned.)

Good Lawdy, Miss Clawdy, "I saw the light!" And I have been redeemed!! IME, the R500c has lived up to every! single! one! of my greatest hopes and desires for it!!! I did go ahead and get the BM500h+BM115cab 'cause, you know, [snobspeak] "that little cheap-o Rumble" surely couldn't last very long, could it?[/snobspeak] Now, 9 years later, the R500c still gets first dibs for that power level outside the house (if the Rumble Studio 40 can't handle the gig) and the BM500 only gets fired up for more tubeylicious vibes at home!! The R500c really brings the thunder and has never let me down.

Start out by just stacking them one on top of the other. You won't need access to the controls on the bottom amp because they are all bypassed when you daisy chain them anyway. Run a cable between the effects send of the top amp to the effects return of the bottom amp. Whatever you do with the controls of the top amp will be mirrored in the bottom amp. The best part is the coupling effect of the two 12-inch speakers working together. It just sounds so much bigger than one Rumble 100 by itself.

You don't(no extension speaker output). You connect to another R100(EFFECTS Send of 1 to EFFECTS Return of the other).

Correct for all R100s as delivered by Fender.

But (there's always a but) ...

You can do surgery, installing a speaker jack, voiding any remaining warranty. And quite possibly blowing your Rumble's power amp if you run another speaker in parallel with the internal speaker.

But (#2) ... you can wire a jack so that plugging in replaces the internal speaker, in which case you can run any 8 ohm cab you like, so long as it's capable of handling at least 100 watts RMS (program, whatever).

But (3) ... I'm guessing that since you had to ask, that's not an option. It's not for most people, unless they get a tech or electronics-savvy friend involved. If you need more, it's best to go with GP's solution above[1] or just get a bigger amp that does what you want. (All the larger models in the Rumble line allow extension cabs.)

[1] That's what I did, got a second Rumble 100, and chain them as GP described. Such lovely bass tone.

You can try instrument cable from FX Send of one amp to FX Return of another brand/configuration amp to get somewhat of the Send tone out of the Return amp. Keep both volumes very low to start.

My older boyz have outgrown actually performing their metal bands an' busy raisin' kids now. An', in case ya ain't noticed, I don’t mind datin' myself! I got over that a few years back. Dagnabit, I'm old an' I'm proud! (BTW, what/who is "dag" and what're they s'posed to nab?) Earned every wrinkle an' gray hair (the few that stuck aroun'). But I still like to ... ... ... Hi, I’m thinking of getting a modular cab setup for my tube amp, and like the look and value of the rumble cabs. Does anyone here have a photo of a 210 sideways on top of a 115? Looking at specs that should then make them the same width.

Sure thing, keatzey. You're right! Scroll down just a little from here. There's a couple of pics of Rumble combos, same dimensions as 210 cabs, sideways on top of Rumble 115 cabs; one outdoors w/logo unchanged, another w/logo rotated to match cab.
