Fender Rumble Club

I searched, but can't seem to find a club for those of us who use and love the Fender Rumble series of amps. Any interest?

I've been playing at home with my Rumble 30 since late January and it seems to me like this amp puts out a good share for being so small! Originally I was looking at the Rumble 15 but went with the 30 because of the extra input jack, more wattage, and I read online reviews which said the 30 would be good enough to play with a band in a small venue even versus the 15 which didn't have as much bang.

Hope to hear form some fellow Rumble fans soon! :D

So this makes me the founding member, #1? I feel this is a big honor for someone so new on the forum!

Tried the Rumble 25 at Guitar Center yesterday. Big sound out of a very small package. I'll think I'll be picking one up for practice soon.

Hey Rumble Club. I'm getting some speaker farting from my V2 410. I've tried different cables, different basses, and have taken off the grill for the "gently press on speaker and listen for scratching noises" test. To rule out the head, I am going to use it with my Hartke cab this afternoon at rehearsal. The farting only happens when I hit a B (7th fret E). My questions: 1. Could this be a problem with the head (V3 500)? 2. What other tests could I be doing? Thanks.

Sounds like you need to re-torque your woofers. First loosen all woofer mounting screws just enough to where they are turning freely. Now re-torque the screws gradually in a star pattern with even firmness until all screws are evenly tight. Do Not Over Tighten! Do this for each woofer.

One thing that really increases your speaker cabinet's overall sound quality is to properly line your cabinet with a good quality acoustic foam.

Thanks, Linnin! Are there any online guides for lining a cab with foam (I'm sure there are, but are any of them favored)? I'll re-torque the woofers. Never heard of doing this before.

I haven't, but run my jazz in rounds and with a pick I go after a very aggressive Rush/Yes sound, and get it with ease through a Rumble 350 head pumping a pair of V2 Rumble 112 Neos. So I say go for it. A Rumble 500 with a pair of 112s for a mini-stack, or a pair 410's for a maxi-stack. Just yell Charge! and mount the attack.

I think a Rick and Rumble will go together like Rock n Roll :roflmao:

I wrote a couple of emails. One to to Parts-Express Tech Support as to any guidance for lining a ported bass guitar cabinet, and another to 'Big Tony' at Eminence. So we'll see what answers we get.

This is all I've found so far worth mentioning: For a ported cabinet ... "You want to line the walls of the enclosure. We recommend starting with no lining and work your way up one wall at a time to determine what sounds best. If you use too much acoustic material, the bass will sound well defined, but dry. If you use too little, the bass will be loud, but undefined. Do not block the vents. They need a clean air flow to operate correctly." - Big Tony

Since they are new designs just recently becoming available in Europe and America, there isn't any reason why they won't make their way to Australia. Go ahead and contact Fender Australia directly and ask them when (not if) the Rumble 112 and 210 cabinets will be available for purchase. Should be soon.

got an email back from Fender Aust already. :)
So for any other Aussies that may be reading this thread:
The Rumble 112 & 210 are currently available (they don't now why they are not showing up on their website).
Part no: 2380000000 Rumble 112 Cabinet (v3), RRP $699.00
Part no: 2380100000 Rumble 210 Cabinet (v3), RRP $799.00

112 cabs currently in stock in warehouse, waiting for stock (no ETA) for 210 cabs.

Look at those prices! You guys are getting hosed.

Haha, yes. I was expecting that comment. We do suffer from the Antipodean Tax.... Small market 23million people compared to the US population of 300 odd million, though our land size is nearly as large as your contiguous States.

Bear in mind though, these are changed to 240v there'd be a cost to that I guess.
Plus all prices shown to consumers in Australia include all taxes, including the GST. Dealers are free to charge less than RRP, and often do.

But still, yep we get ripped off on prices on most everything.

OK I'm about to join the party and buy a Rumble 100 V3!! Can't fight the GAS even if the DI out is post master volume, which I don't like...

I'm curious to know how bright the full range speaker is? The 100 doesn't have a tweeter, but how high the 12" will go? 4000Hz? 5000Hz?

If I want more top end out of this little amp, could I replace the stock speaker with a 12" concentric speaker? Any suggestion?

Thanks for your thoughts! :)

All of the Rumbles benefit greatly from a speaker upgrade...

Tone is subjective, we all might like something different. My question is this, I'm digging the clean tone of my 200 combo + 112 cab sans any of my effects, how does everyone else feel about their tone? Do you use any effects? I have a Markbass Compressore and a Tech21 Sans Amp which I always used to shape my tone with my Rumble 75, I'm thinking of leaving the Tech21 off for my next gig and see how she runs clean. Just wanted to see what others are using if anything at all.

Rumbles ROCK..... And ROLL! (If their on casters anyway)
