Just a quick Q, is it possible the leads in the cord connecting the 800c to the extension might have been set up incorrectly reversing the phase and causing the sets to actually be out of phase enhancing the highs?

I've read of the phase check using a 9v battery on an open-ended speaker cable to see if all the speakers in a cab pop out at the same time. Is there an easy way to check the phase of speakers in a combo amp? Or do you have to open it up to get to the speaker wires to avoid putting the 9v back into the amplifier itself?

I guess I was asking if it was a correctly constructed factory cable and not something a friend cobbled together….as far as the new combo and cab, I would simply assume they are correctly wired. But, removing the grill and hitting a low E or lower, you should be able to tell visually, I would think.

I just stumbled across a seller on Reverb who is only asking $637 new. I'm a little leary because it seems too good to be true. Have you seen other retailers drop the price? What's your thoughts?

I think it's a great little amp head, and about the best price you can find. So at least your wife can feel good you got the best price possible, you frugal man LOL. Congrats if you buy it!

I thought Reverb was mostly used equipment, with no warranty. But the learn more link next to the "Condition: Brand New (New)" says,

Brand New
Products listed by authorized dealers that are unopened, new in box and are covered under the manufacturer’s original limited warranty.​

Oops! Meant to post last night(Friday, 2/9). Had a gig at a semi-local Elks Club. Used the R100 as I have numerous times B4. More than sufficient for the low-ceilinged room. Had GAIN and VOLUME both ~10 w/ B-9:30, LM-1:30, HM-2, Tr-10ish. VINTAGE and BRIGHT[presence] in, O/D as MUTE. Epi Embassy.

I took 2xR100 this morning. Percussionist was out sick so just the leader and me. I only had the volume about twice as loud as I’ve been playing at home after my wife goes to bed, and it was plenty.

There is talk of jam sessions later this year. If they are outdoors, I may get to finally crank this rig.

Over the weekend I loaned my Sire V5R and Rumble 100 to a friend who plays in a band and does light gigging. He was blown away by the entire package. They only had the master at noon with a drummer. The band is now scraping together unwanted gear to sell and buy that same outfit.
