Fender Rumble Club

Just a quick Q, is it possible the leads in the cord connecting the 800c to the extension might have been set up incorrectly reversing the phase and causing the sets to actually be out of phase enhancing the highs?

I've read of the phase check using a 9v battery on an open-ended speaker cable to see if all the speakers in a cab pop out at the same time. Is there an easy way to check the phase of speakers in a combo amp? Or do you have to open it up to get to the speaker wires to avoid putting the 9v back into the amplifier itself? :eyebrow:

Hi folks. I've been looking for a new head that can handle a 2ohm load. So I've been eyeing the Rumble 800. It's always $749 new. I just stumbled across a seller on Reverb who is only asking $637 new. I'm a little leary because it seems too good to be true. Have you seen other retailers drop the price? What's your thoughts?

Thanks, Supa

They look reputable and have their own website. It says on Reverb, %15 off sale until 2/8/2024 at 5am eastern standard time, so if you want to try you'd better buy soon! Good luck.

Thanks, I missed that. I guess I'll have to ask my wife for forgiveness tomorrow.

I thought Reverb was mostly used equipment, with no warranty. But the learn more link next to the "Condition: Brand New (New)" says,

Brand New
Products listed by authorized dealers that are unopened, new in box and are covered under the manufacturer’s original limited warranty.

So, it looks like a great deal! Good luck. Let us know how you do.

I took 2xR100 this morning. Percussionist was out sick so just the leader and me. I only had the volume about twice as loud as I’ve been playing at home after my wife goes to bed, and it was plenty.

There is talk of jam sessions later this year. If they are outdoors, I may get to finally crank this rig.
