Fender Rumble Club

??? The Rumble 100 V3 already has 12 inch driver and is 9.98 kg. ???

??? The Rumble 200 V3 already has larger size and 140 watts standalone. ???

Each individual item might not cost much more, but together they probably would. The current EQ centers were probably purposely chosen to get that traditionally recognizable "Fender tone". The CONTOUR is for more mid scoop AND high & low boost.

??? And also add hundreds of $$$ to the price! See Invalid Link Removed prices.
V4 just need update current 100, 200 and 500 to 150/112 , 450/115 and 800/210 along with matching cab option.

The rules, since price getting increase with FMIC bass amp, watts should increase too. It's fair. Haha

I do believe lot member here love how 200 combo sound but need more watts. Current 115 cab only rate 300 watts , time to update the line after 10 years .....

I wish the V4 12' combo has bigger size after I own the Ampeg 112. Before the 112, I actually bought the RB115 first.... Once compare, I am shocking with the volume and tone from RB112. Can size and driver quality does matter....

Having given it a little bit of thought I guess things that would be "nice to have" and could possibly be intro'd with a "V4 Rumble", thinking about my V3 Rumble 100, and maintain the price point(s):
* USB port for power (USB-C preferred); the BOM on the part is cheap but integrating with existing power and stuff might not be
* Bluetooth receiver as an Aux-in alternative (though keeping existing Aux port is a must); this one is harder, no doubt

With the above 2 features all you'd need is a USB cable to plug in your phone and stream music for accompaniment/practice. The parts, purchased in bulk, are relatively cheap but the engineering to add them to the existing system might not be.

499.99

@G-Dog
What did the Rumble 500 head sell for ?

According to the Summary Info chart on your Rumble Club Wiki page, the last known price of the Rumble 500 head was $399.99, and it never had a tube pre-amp. I don't recall any earlier price(s). [For reference, I bought my Rumble 500 combo in 2014 for just $499.99!]

Bluetooth feature actually fairly low cost stuff.
Lot low end desktop speakers has it as standard feature since year 2011 when bluetooth device become cheap in price. Edifier and Hivi Swan are great examples.

Build in tuner also low cost too.....

I wonder why they discontinued the Rumble 112 cabs ? I thought they sounded very good. I should have kept mine.

Low sales, lowplaces, just like the Rumble 200 & 500 heads were discontinued. It's a business decision. They can't afford to keep making products that don't make a certain profit margin. Nothing against their musical performance, just business accounting.

I know what the BOM on the parts are - it's the engineering cost to fit them into an existing build that's typically where the costs arise.

I recall some one mention that R112 cab work well with double bass and sound as nice as the expensive Aggy SL112 cab.

...the 100 just sound boxy and fart out pretty fast that I remember.
Thanks for the clarification.

You must play at a pretty high volume. Personally I find my 100 can get obnoxiously loud without getting anywhere near driving the speaker too hard. In my old days of playing, I could see it not working for me then, but I don't play with musicians anymore that want to play any louder than what the Rumble 100 can handle.

Everyone has different wants and needs though.

[August 3, 2013] i have done lining for my Rumble 75 which suggest by Mr Linnin.
but, sorry i forget to take picture.
I use polyfil + cotton wool.
Lot people mention that cotton wool make the Cab sound Dry & Dead from others forum.
So, i make a try combination polyfil + cotton wool.
I line the top, upper wall & lower wall with base polyfil layer ,cover by cotton wool as front layer. The both thickness around 2in. Do nothing with bottom side. I stable it.
For the left & right wall, i staple the double layer cotton wool with size 5in x 10in.

Sound..?
Still Rumble 75 sound, but the low-mid & bass become a bit Solid & Focus than before.
The Airly-feel tone from my CV 60 P become less & the treble reduce with right amount.
I think cotton wool is a right choice for this Bed-Room bass combo, it dint sound dry & dead like what genius said.

Really Happy with it.
[March 17, 2015] I only agree that Rumble Combo sound little boommy, little bit scoopy BUT NOT MUDDY.

Lining help alot.

Lot ppl use accoustic foam or mattress topper, but i use this stuff , no brand no name.

[April, 18, 2015] ... ... what i done with my previos V2 75 watts combo, is using a car dampening foil(bitumen kind) ,stick and cover on all joining side and corner inside the cab. Sorry i dint have a picture to show you.

Yah, man, did you ever try lining the Rumble 100? Helps a lot of people. It comes unlined, but the R200c & R500 come lined.

If just trying it out in a store, then putting a sock in each port could help.

[March 1, 2020] Just exchanged my Rumble 100 for a Rumble 200. Wanted a bit more power and the option of adding cabinet if needed. What a great series of amps. My MIM Fender P sounds fantastic!

[March 1, 2020] That's a beautiful setup, there, Thommy! @Thom Fioriglio, you are now member #1191 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations, and please keep us updated with your future Rumblings. I just now found your thread about upgrading from the Rumble 100 and I'm curious to see if the 200 continues to be enough amp for you. Yes, the debate between the 200 being enough or the 500 being too much is alive and well here in The Club, too!

In case you haven't found it yet, Fiori, check out the Rumble Club Wiki page, linked in my signature, especially the TONE Pool listing of settings to try out! Also, the Rumble Talks section is chock full of tips about how to adjust your Rumble to get the most out of it. Just let us know any questions you may have. And then . . . .

Rumble On!
