Fender Rumble Club

Sorry, and how can you pair them if all are 8 ohms, there are no 4 ohms 410 extension cabs...
That is easy! 8 ohms + 8 ohms = 4 ohms You must have a pair of 8 ohm cabs. You cannot pair up two 4 ohm cabs to a Rumble head as it will result in a blown fuse or worse, a complete meltdown of the power module. Likewise a 4 ohm cab + an 8 ohm cab will also result in bad things.

Any brand head rated down to 4 ohms will most happily purrrr away with an 8 ohm load. So running one cab is a piece of cake. Albeit with reduced power. The Rumble 500 is 350 watts @ 8 ohms and of course 500 @ 4. The Rumble 200 is 140 watts @ 8 ohms and 200 @ 4.

Anybody not on North America got prices of these new combos on their country? I went last week to the local Fender dealer, which is pretty much lousy when it comes to bass gear. I saw that finally they had the new combos and was excited. Asked for the price of the 100 v3 and got a price close to $470 according to exchange rates.

Very frustrating. I know they are ripping off people (if anyone is willing to pay that much anyway) and it makes me angry.

Thomann shows the 100 at 269 Euros. UK prices seem about comparable...

That's about $395 Canadian, at current exchange rates. The 100 combo is $330 here in Canada, so a $65 premium to allow for European shipping and duty sounds about right...

Ack! Price gouging is always infuriating! Grrrr! :rage: The full price of the Rumble 100 is $400 before any discount that we enjoy here in the USA, and also take for granted. I don't know what your import tax/duty structure is in Lima, Peru. Plus additional shipping, maybe $470 isn't as big a rip off as you think. Ask for a discount. You just might get it, especially if you are paying in cash. :greedy: It's not like you can hop in your Jeep and drive to California in an afternoon and pick up a new Rumble.:(

Adece, Music Market Miraflores tiene el Combo 100 en 1200, conversando un poco con los vendedores puedes conseguir hasta un 10% de descuento..

Ok..... What about this setup.

Fender Rumble V3 500 Amp Head
Fender Rumble V3 410
Fender Rumble V3 115

Does this match up well

It's the original YMMV. Way more knowledgeable people than me say no. You're sending the same amount of power to the 115 that you're sending to the 410. The 15 will be hard pressed to keep up. I had the same arrangement with a Crate rig years back - forget the brand (by themselves they sounded pretty good), but the 2 cabs together sounded like crap. Conventional wisdom is that you'd be better off with 2 identical cabinets. Being the old school guy that I am, I'd rock 2 of the 15's. Again, YMMV.

Well I just purchased following just to be safe.

Fender Rumble V3 500 Head
Two Rumble V3 410's.

Yeah Hoo....... :)

Shaun

Congrats on your purchase, I'm decided on my upgrade and after falling in love with that amazing tone I'll be buying the 500 Combo and the 115 extension cab. That way the extension will remain on my church and the combo will go home/studio with me...
