Fender Rumble Club

When I was downsizing my rig to a combo from an SVT4 Pro + 4x10 I was shopping around and trying out some at GC and Sam Ash and my favorite was an Acoustic (can't remember the model) and it was the same price as the Rumble 200. I was set on buying the Acoustic but when I tried the Rumble I was blown away. I remember thinking that it had so much more character than the Acoustic and was amazingly clear. Plus it's loud and super light.

I have prove this in past at GC, i love my Rumble V3 200 combo so much ...... until i have try the EBS Classic Session 120 combo few week ago, it blow me up!

Not the Rumble V3 sound suck compare to EBS session, both sound great. But, i am looking for tighter-focus bass tone for Lo-B string. I cant believe EBS session's 12" driver can handle Lo-B well. She is VERY loud little combo. The bad thing is 21kg Vs 16kg Rumble 200 combo.

EBS tone character is close to Markbass, just less deep but better tight-focus in Lo-mid and Mid. Not Overly-In-Your-Face while still keep good warmth tone.

The 105 is also one of my favourites. Interestingly, the 21 is actually slightly cheaper than the 105 over here, because alcohol is taxed by ABV, but it's still not cheap, at around $100 a bottle.

Okay dumb question.... Does anyone know of anywhere I could rent for a weekend, a Rumble 25? I've got an accoustic gig at a campground coming up that the 500 is simply way too big, and loud for (Even at the lowest volume setting it's too loud for this setting). I will be doing some accompaniment to 2 fairly skilled acoustic guitarists, more or less campfire songs between beers sort of stuff. And no we aren't college / high school kids, just working guys looking to blow some steam off with some beer, some fishing, and some music...

Do you own a 500C? If so--set it on less than one and run the XLR to a small powered speaker.

I'm not sure I quite get the problem. On either my Rumble 200 1x15, or 100 1x12 I can get the volume so low that I can hear the sound of both the amp (*very quietly*) AND the acoustic tone that I'm plucking on a solid-body bass. I don't think any amp could get much quieter, and yet still be amplifying. I can do this by setting the amp at almost *any* volume level... and then turning down the volume on the bass guitar. ??? ... or is the real problem simply the size of the amp?
