Good point, it does resemble the Aerodyne neck. Thanks. The dye is permanent right?I think the fretboard is a dyed rosewood just like the aerodyne bass

I have not compared directly but I'm pretty sure it is, as a matter of fact it feels very similar to my MIM JBass and is very different from my Squier CV 50s. It's only 1/4 inch wider at the nut. The online description is Modern C. I was practicing on it last night, I think I'm starting to REALLY like it.Is the neck profile/spec, the same as any MIM new Precision standard?
Thanks!
Mine is up for sale currently and I really don't want to part with it, they're fantastic bassesThis thread bums me out.Mine is up for sale currently and I really don't want to part with it, they're fantastic basses
It may be cold comfort, but who knows? You might be able to acquire another one someday. Even if you don't like buying used, and really want this bass, you should consider it. It hasn't been out long, and the used ones for sale are still in nice shape at this point in time.I really want one but they aren't sold anywhere anymoreI don't like buying used, so I'll have to wait until the next time they bring g out something like this... There is currently nothing special in their MIM/affordable range

Found one for $500.I like it, but seriously, black hardware, please.
And the price?
Hmmm...
I literally missed getting the last one at Sweetwater by just a few days, so I broke down and bought a used one off of ebay. It turned out to be a great decision. I got a lightly used one in near perfect shape with a case for about $535. I know buying used online is hit-and-miss, but I did get lucky with this buy.Even if you don't like buying used, and really want this bass, you should consider it. For that price, I would've jumped on it, too!I literally missed getting the last one at Sweetwater by just a few days, so I broke down and bought a used one off of ebay. View attachment 3215747 I was able to get a mint condition one for $350 recently. Guy had “too many basses” and had a few on sale. Truly awesome bass and the price was a steal IMO. The Pau Ferro fretboard is a nice touch. I personally plan on keeping it stock since it plays/sounds/looks great as is. This one’s a keeper
2021- I found one with a black upgraded saddle, black hardware and ... wait for it... flatwounds with the red thread on the top. The price was very close to original retail price. Perfect condition. I am so glad I got it. I am so lucky!Just seen this bass pop up on Sweetwater. Wow it is beautiful! I love the black on black with the painted black headstock. Great now another GAS attack!
