Haha and here I am thinking either team deserves to lose to a late goal. I'm tired of penaltiesWell, this game has certainly woken up in ET. It should really go to penalties now, neither side deserves to lose to a late goal.
Interesting Costa Rica changed goalkeepers just for the penalties. Lets see if it pays off
Remind me how many play at the top level in England, Spain, Germany and Italy?
Haha yup my mind was on saying Costa Rica might score a last minute goal. Well let's see if it pays off for the Dutch. Penalty expert or what's his story?Krul is Dutch.
In terms of guys on the national team, it's about 14, (including AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Manchester United players,) which is 14 more than they had 20 years ago, when their pro league was founded. Progress Titus--there is such a thing.
There are also Albanians, Austrians, Belarusians, Bolivians, Bulgarians, Estonians, Georgians, Guyanans, Icelanders, Israelis, Jamaicans, Latvians, Moroccans, Peruvians, Senegalese, Slovenians, Tunisians, Venezuelans and Zimbabweans.
I suppose those nations are in with a shout too, eh?
Then why ask me the question? The point is the progress being made. How many players do Austria and Bulgaria have in those leagues? Are they more than they had 10, 20, 30 years ago? Baby steps, Titus... baby steps.
And I also don't get what is up with the former US team players as commentators. Casey Keller isn't too bad, but Taylor Twellman, Eric Wynalda, and Alexi Lallas all come off as smarmy douchebags.
Well, fair result for the shoot out. I didn't like the Dutch tactics though.
Apart from ET in this game, we've had 4 out of 4 really poor quarter finals.
