With collectables it's all about condition. A repair can't undo the damage. The value is lost forever.

To me, no. You could have a luthier make you a '63 jazz style to your exact specs and it would be a better instrument.

i had one of those Kramer 8 strings. it was walnut though (I gave it to my brother). did you have any problem with a crack behind the nut? they had a lot of trouble with the maple ones.

I wouldn't buy that bass. you'll pay as much for the stock pickup on ebay if one is available. also, it appears as if the nitro finish has been removed.
