Now, if they had done that to a parts bass or even a recent reissue, I'd probably say it was pretty darned cool.

Virgin Mary as well...That bass makes baby Jesus cry.
That thing looks like it was restored with a chainsaw and a blowtorch. Not to mention that it looks like they sprayed the entire thing with rattle-can clearcoat including the neck and the hardware... What a shame...

Virgin Mary as well...

Pretty normal 60s-70s era mod job. My 53P isn't far from that. We only think it's an abomination from our 21st century vintage worship perspective.
More Pickups = More Tones?
I wonder if the amount of pull on those strings screws up the tuning everytime a string is plucked.
If only it had one more pickup I'd be all over that like stink on poopiee.....:***:
Sad...however kind of cool for what it is now that someone put that work into turning a classic straight up beautiful Jazz into a JazzPrecisionBlackTopJaguarSpecialDeluxeVintageModifiedClassic Bass...
If I had 2900 bucks burning a hole in my pocket, I'd buy it.
Then, I could take down into my basement laboratory and perform horrendous experiments on it....
Than you would have outbid me.I'd pay $100
