Fishing Club?

Burk, that Smallie is an absolute TOAD! What a blast that would have been!
Nice colours on the trout as well!
Not a stream guy myself, I just won't put up with the crap that most streams around here get.. ie, shoulder to shoulder, guys not pulling their line in when the guy 4 ft away has a fish on... I perfer the middle of Lake Ontario, 350 ft of water, long lines, lead core and watch those Steelies fly!
Those Strippers look like they'd be a panic as well... we don't get them up here, but I've heard they can be a ton of fun and big!!!!
I wish I knew as much about bass playing as I do about fishin, but this place is a great place to learn more!
Keep 'em coming fellow fish heads!

Caught this 42 lb citation rockfish (striped bass for you non MD/VA peeps) last winter a mile off of VA beach:

Here's my Largemouth, not bad for a 15 year old that has only been fishing for 5 years or so? :p

Next to my hand for scale.

My hands were shakin after I finally got that one in.

I have caught a few 25 lb Stripers, but those are way more common than an 8 lb largemouth.

I get up at 4 am, grab my rod and reel, bucket with tackle and a chair. I grab a large cup of coffee and walk down to the beach and cast out with a large chunk of squid on the hook. Sit down, sip my coffee, watch the sun rise and listen to the waves crash. Caught a Thresher Shark last year. He was only a foot long but I can scratch catching a shark off the bucket list. Doing it again in June:hyper:

I love fishing, and don't do it nearly enough. I used to go up to Thompson, Manitoba every year with my dad to a fly-in fishing lodge. Caught a 110 cm northern pike the last time we went... I think it was the year I graduated college. I have the master angler certificate framed hanging right below the replica on my wall. :D

Fished all day yesterday. Didn't catch anything, the water was still very cold. But it's getting better.
I was in a small town called pwerscourt, about 1 miles north of the US border. The river is called chateaugay, but on the US side it's called trout river.

Here's some pictures I took:

I love to fish, although I haven't been in a few months since moving to CO. There's a lot of fly fishermen out here like Burk; guys who look down on the those who work on the "dark side". :p Good to see ya still around Burk.

Hopefully I can post a few pics if I can dig 'em up on the home computer.
