If I dont have words I'll improvise them and mumble syllables where I feel words should be... Not having lyrics is not an excuse not to practice a song, as there are many other elements to a song that need going over.

"Scrambled eggs... oh my baby how I love your legs..." original lyrics to the Beatles' "Yesterday", according to Sir Paul. I don't think he got punched for singing them...

I've played with hundreds of musicians, so far I've managed not to punch anybody, or get punched.
