Florida Bassists Club

Just got back from the Gaylord Palms in Orlando. A bass player friend of mine from Boston was down with a blues band playing there. The front man was a Boston legend, James Montgomery, harmonica and vocals, and the guitar players were Jon Butcher and Barry Goudreau. Man these guys are great! Got to meet and talk with them for awhile really great dudes. They are playing over there again tomorrow at someplace called Kee Wee Entertainment District. If you get a chance check em out - James Montgomery and Friends.

Thanks Bob. We actually are booked in there next Friday, I was wondering what the crowd was like and what not. Came about real fast, just last week we were contacted about it. Figured we'd give it a go.

You are playing the 24th? If so, I am too at Sailors Return. We play from 8-11PM. What time do you play? If you go to 1 AM, I'll come see you after loadout. If we get rained out, I'll come and see you earlier.

Hey Bob, I don't think you made it over there or at least I didn't run into you. I know the weather was bad Friday. Wasn't much of a crowd in there, but the stage was cool and the people running the place were too.

Maybe next time!

Oh geeze! I totally forgot. As soon as we finished we were told it was going to rain soon. We packed up our hear ASAP. It started raining on us five minutes before we finished, so it wasn't that bad. From all the excitement, I forgot about coming over. Perhaps another time. Sorry. My bad.
