Flying with pedals

Welp, I got everything loaded up for my trip, but I had to resort to adding a laptop bag with half pedals half clothes. The good news, however, is Delta is letting me check two bags for free, so I think I may just take a large suitcase and ditch the laptop bag, and just carry something small for a few items I need on hand. Only problem is I really don't want to repack!
Either option sounds like it will be OK. Good luck with the gig!

I know you're dying to hear how this turned out...eh, probably not ;)

I repacked. I changed out the small carry-on suitcase for a big one, and I put all my pedals in their boxes and stuck them and my trusty scrap plywood pedalboard in there and checked it and my bass. Everything arrived safely, and I had minimum inconvenience, except for when the retractable handle jammed on me at the Spokane airport. Seems to be OK now, though. But using the boxes takes up a lot of room, so it won't be an option when you have to make everything fit in a carry-on.

BTW, I did a search on "flying with pedals" to find this thread again, and I found no less than 4 similar threads I started over the years and forgot about. So I promise this will be the last thread on the topic...this year.
