Hey Jai...Jack's isn't there any longer unfortunately, but Stevies is and they gutted it out and redid the whole thing...it's just not the same now...it's too clean!

You mean Dave Dicenso's dad owned that? I hadn't realized that. Great drummer.

Man, I must have my old-skool Boston roots/wires crossed, I meant DiCenso's Drum Shop is where I meant, it's been well over a decade since I've lived there... Dave is amazing, I remember the days of Two Ton Shoe. His brother John was also a supa bad ass drumma!

RE: Stevies... when it was grimy/gritty and old looking, it just made those giant slices taste better! We use to say "there's always a little bit Stevie in every bite" :scowl:

--Ok sorry for the derail--

Chris, can't wait to see the bass!!

This is really a bummer...the whole mood of the shop yesterday afternoon was down when we heard that FedEx had "lost" Chris' bass. This happened so many times 18 months ago with UPS that we stopped using them. Now, recently FedEx seems to have gone on the fritz too...very disheartening. In the end, I am sure that it will be fine, but it's just not right...especially with the serious $$ they charge for overnight delivery. Completely candidly, FedEx Ground seems to have its stuff more together than the Express part of the company...

J

I would think the brutal weather conditions have impacted their operations...good luck to the recipient ..hope the bass arrives OK....

I'll post when I get a chance to actually play it thoroughly. I'm stuck at work for a loooooong time today. I get like 5 minute breaks between people, but otherwise I'm not going to to get it fully run it through it's paces for another day or two.

A very interesting looking bass!
Nice!
What made you decide on ebony stringers in the neck in combination with ash?
I've not seen this before I think.
What bridge do you have on there?
It doesn't look to me,like the usual fodera one.
Do you string it B-G ?
:)

I believe he said it was 16.5mm at the bridge.

I just wanted to say that I had an issue with one of the strings in a pack of Fodera strings today....of course Jason responded right away when I wrote him to mention it, but then I also got a response from Holly at Fodera within 20 minutes or less...incredible. What a difference from the old company. Well done.
