Fodera Club Part XV

Well, my first Fodera is now on order..... A Emperor Standard 5er.

I am super pumped, but kinda upset..... Why the hell do I have to wait until March to get it?!?!

Seriously, I can't wait to get my hands on this bass. Gonna be a long 4-5 months!

4-5 months isn't that bad. Ordered my YYS in April and won't get it till "around mid December."

I know it will be worth the wait. However, word of advice...stay off TB. I recently purchased another bass cause I'm gassing so bad.

P.S. Don't tell my wife!

I am in Canada and prefer to buy thru my local guys.

Plus, I am nowhere close to having the $$$ to pay for it right now! need to sell a few things.

Who did you go through? And was there an up charge? I honestly didn't know there *were* any Fodera dealers up here.

L&M. They are JUST starting to carry (order) them.

It was a tiny bit more than Bass Central as an example, but worth buying here IMO.

i'm shocked he's selling his.

it's one of a kind, but i have the other one of a kind fodera 12.

i'd been after the guys to make me a 12 since about 89 or so. we discussed it a bit, but nothing came to pass. then i'm talking to joey one day and he tells me this one was being made—i'm like, dude, no excuses now. we gotta make one for me!

I've just waited 11 months for a Fender CS PBass and have now waited 13 months for my new Fodera... well, at least this Bass is going into production next week

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, those look like the old Lane Poors that Fodera used to use back in the day.

mine is from 2003, i don't remember how long it took to make. i'd say his is probably from 2000 or so.

(and i don't think you meant the pickup in mine, which was originally based on the pickup position in my original 85, for what it's worth.)

No - it was just a guess - I'm not quite sure how long they used the PUs with the Butterfly on it - I only can remember seeing this PUs on Fodera till the mid/late 90ies...

But I'm sure you know more about that
