Jason IMO a Yellawood top from Lowe's would really make this bass sing!
Man I've got some 30-year old MDF in my kitchen. With that age, it better not move with moisture!

Did I miss all the sound clips of #1?![]()
Close, it's MSP01, the P stands for Prototype; so it is the first one from this series ever made (even before S01)

Okay guys, I guess it's time to start pining for my under construction MG shape Imperial. I had asked, for personal reasons, for a delay in continuing the build, but it's back on now...and should be done probably early May. Originally, I think the completion date, on my order form from December 2011, was about the third week in April. I'm sure it's going to push at least to early May. Up to this point, I've been doing a great job, if I do say so myself, in submerging the achy anticipation...but I am now officially unable to do so, and I just can't wait! I'll just have to make do with my December 2001 vintage, plain old Yin Yang Deluxe.
What a horrible sacrifice I must make while waiting, eh?![]()
Not that it makes a huge difference, but is that MS4 #1?
It is the original prototype...

December 2013: Dreams come true[/QUOTE. Wrp how would you describe the tone of the Oak neck? I think it is great that Fodera thinks outside the box when it comes to neck wood. They pioneered Ash necks , now so many Luthiers use Ash.
