Hmm, separate look and sound it's a difficult task. Specially when I know that my sound is more bolt-on-ish and my shape preference is more EII.

By the way, I like the sound of Christoph Victor Kaiser's imperial (from Jazz Pistols) :bassist: I don't know what's the body wood, but the maple fingerboard rules :D

Uncle Lenn's giving you a hint! Why not start again, re-think from the ground-up but forget about looks, just concentrate on the tone in mind, find audio samples as close to as possible that bear similarities to what you'd like to achieve then email Jason at the shop.

He will help you to breakdown and distinguish the component parts of the tone your trying to achieve with possible wood combinations and pup configurations. Don't set a deadline just ask as many questions as you need. Otherwise you will experience Ground Hog day.;)

haha no definitely not :)

I studied deutsch for years in school and it's SO different from english! The way one forms their sentences can almost be backwards sometimes compared to english....not to mention all those massive compound nouns and having to know if it's der, dem, den, die, das, etc....and they say english is hard!

My fault, what I should have said is;

1. You know what body shape you like (EmpII)
2. You want a bolt-on

So now you can concentrate on the tone with those two things already in the bag!! I hope that make sense..:)

BThump, I don't speak a word of German so I sent your message to my German sister-in-law for translation and she replied;

Hi D, it's written in really bad German and the grammar' all over the place. We think he's saying "he lives in the area of Seattle and he thinks young people with Fodera's should get together."

Are you sure this isn't spam, why should somebody who lives in Seattle be writing about coming together with Foderas in bad German? Sounds dodgy...:hiding:, Lets get back to bad English before we really frighten the Germans.:smug:
