These are the basics:
Koa body
3 pc maple neck
Rosewood fingerboard
35" scale
24 frets
Aero PUs
Pope Preamp

+ a lot more other specs that will make it as similar to my main Beez bass.

You are the Foderaman!
I've enjoyed seeing all your Foderas..and this one will be so sweet too.

What kind of rosewood are they using these days?
When do you expect to have it done?

Congrats Miko.....

Cheers,
Mitch

Thanks Mitch! I'm really looking forward to this bass since it is my own specs up to the smallest detail.

For rosewood, they've got Indian and Brazilian. Indian is standard and Brazilian is an upcharge. I'm going with Indian but still thinking if I should also choose Pao Ferro.

No ETA yet for my bass but hopefully sometime next year.

Are you gonna be with George again at NAMM?

Miko

Dang Ryan,
That's killer! Nice rig too! That's exactly what I use on pretty much every gig. I also got a kick out of the pic of the FedEx truck. The pic of the unopened box is great too. So much "potential energy" as engineers would call it. There's something about the sight of an unopened box, knowing there's a new instrument inside (especially a new Fodera - I can't imagine!), that makes me act like a toddler again. :D

All the best and I hope you enjoy that beast! I'd love to see you play when you're in NYC again. It'd be nice to see the instrument too!

Here is one of my old friends.
Had to let him go :(

^That fingerboard is ridiculous!
I've never seen a Fodera with a Zebrawood fingerboard!

I used to have a 1989 Emperor that I really miss now. Had I known I would be living in Brooklyn a few years later, I would've held onto it! Only after I visited the shop and talked with Joey about it did I fully realize what I had done. It was a pretty unique. It had an Ebony top and fingerboard with a Mahogany body. Even though I'm a little sore about it, four strings aren't really my thing anymore so maybe it's for the better. :bawl:
Breaking up is hard to do! :(

it's not zebrawood, it's pale moon ebony, and this bass gotta be ridiculously expensive
