Did anyone mention Fudgie Kae (Fred Solomon) from Mandrill? Great player, really inventive bass lines.
A lot of people seemed to miss that because many of the guys mentioned are certainly not forgotten.

My point exactly.
Did not know he played with King Diamond, will look into that, loved his still with Chastain.
I met him when we opened for Jimmy Rogers. I had to show him how to use a DI. Great band,it was Jimmy,his kid in 2nd guitar,Ted Harvey on drums,Calvin on Bass,Madison Slim on harp.
My pick for underappreciated bassists would be Allen Woody (Gov't Mule,Allman Brothers),and original Allman Bassist Berry Oakley jr.
